Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks Review Swatches Photos

Lipsticks are one of my favourite products when it comes to makeup and I can never have enough of them! I like trying and wearing different shades and see how they look on me. One of my favourite brands when it comes to lipsticks is Maybelline. It has such a wide range and formula of lipsticks that I get confused sometimes as to what shade to choose. I have tried the Maybelline Inti-Matte Nudes as well the Powder Matte Lipsticks and have liked them both. This made me try the new shades from Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks range which were recently launched. 

The Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks come in 35 different shades and that is just so crazy of a colour range! It has everything one can ever need, ranging from nudes, pinks, peaches, reds, oranges, browns, and purples! You are definitely going to find something that suits your taste. I have picked these four shades from this new range:

1. Just a teaser
2. Barely nude
3. Red liberation
4. Vibrant violet

Barely nude is a nude with brown undertones and would look great on fair to medium skin tones. It makes for that perfect nude with a hint of brown for everyday or office wear.

Just a teaser is a nude shade with a slight hint of pinkish undertones and would suit people having light to medium skin tones. If you re someone who likes to wear pinkish nudes, you can consider this shade.

Red liberation is a deep red with a hint of maroon and pink and would flatter all skin tones. I personally love this shade on me and is perfect if you’re looking for a not so bright red.

Vibrant violet is a bright purple shade that again looks good on all kinds of skin tones. Wear it when you want to make a bold statement and make your lips stand out.

Formula:

The formula of Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick, as the name suggests, is very creamy, yet matte on the lips. They are not drying at all however, I would recommend you to apply a lip balm before you apply them. They glide smoothly and feel so light weight that I don’t even feel like I’m wearing anything on my lips. However, they would settle down into your lines and creases if you haven’t exfoliated and moisturised your lips well.

The Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks stay for about 3 to 4 hours when I don’t consume any eatables or drink anything. However, they do transfer a lot and would need touch ups after every few hours if you have to consume food.

Each lipstick costs ₹299 for 4.2 gm of product and I think it’s a steal at this price and quantity. Maybelline is one of the best affordable brands in India when it comes to makeup and the lipsticks are a proof. 

Overall experience:

I am loving using the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks and am glad that I added a few more shades to my collection. However, the nude shades are slightly sheerer than the red and violet and I have to work a bit hard with them.

They don’t give a complete opaque finish on my lips compared to the bright shades, but that is not much of a concern for me. I will look forward to trying out more shades from the range and would recommend you as well to try these lipsticks out.
