MAC Perpetual Flame Pro Longwear Lipcrème is the first lipstick ,I bought in doubt, I saw some swatches online and this seemed to be a lighter colour , and I asked my friend to get it for me on her way back to India from US ,but boy was I bamboozled , this turned  out to be some kind of deep red/berry colour ,that is just so not me, I am a pink and orange and nude person ,so this colour was a whole lot no no for me, but is It a pretty colour BIG YES..!! a beautiful colour ,with a beautiful finish, just that the colour is not for me.

What MAC says about it: Lightweight texture, creamy finish and comfortable longwear combine in this has-it-all pro-class lip colour. Slick in use, applies without need of a top coat- and still lasts up to 12 hours. Won’t feather or transfer, and the colour stays true. Helps lips stay soft and hydrated.

Shade – For the shade, MAC Perpetual Flame is a beautiful  pinkish red with really warm blue undertones, which looks flattering on N number of complexions. You can also check review of MAC Love Forever Pro Longwear Lipcreme.

Texture –  The texture of the lipstick is almost matte ,rather I would say it is a matte but extremely emollient matte lipstick. It goes on super creamy on the lips without imparting any shine despite being an emollient texture.

Pigmentation – Well, do I even need to talk about that, it’s one of the most “opaque in swipe” lipsticks, in fact what I would say these lipstick can be a good replacements for the nars audacious lipsticks range in term of pigmentation.

Staying Power: The staying power  of Perpetual Flame is awesome and gave me almost 6 hours of wear ,and even if the actual lipstick wears off ,you have a pretty red stain on your lips for about another 2 hours.

Overall thoughts

MAC Perpetual Flame Pro Longwear Lipcrème is part of their Pro Long Wear line and is meant for longer lasting lip product, and are same is the size of usual MAC Lipstick. there is no shimmer and glitter(yayayayay!!) in this and it is nearly matte finish lipstick .It was quite an impressive pick  ,for the only one time I wore it, cause I latter was robbed of it by mom, like it was love at first sight for my mom, and when did it disappear from me is a story apart :P.  It doesn’t bleed or fades unevenly and there is beautiful pinkish-red  stain on lips even after it wears off.

The packaging of Pro Longwear Lipcrème  is really sleek, it  comes in a really secure and sturdy and handsome packaging ,I really prefer it over the short regular ones ,the material of the packaging feels more rubberized . The things I love about this lipstick is it’s a shade, Berry tones that would suit a number of skin tones, and is almost matte in finish ,which doesn’t bleed or settle into the lip lines, and as the name suggest it is super duper long lasting without drying out the lips all the while. The only thing that I dislike it the shooting mac prices  ,god know where does MAC wants to take us with their pricing now a days.

Overall, I would totally recommend this shade and this whole range too, has a very longwearing and comfortable finish, the shade is one that it perfect for Indian skin tones, fair as well as dusky ones, and it’s really sleek to carry around, just wish the price hadn’t been this much J
