When I picked MAC CORK long back I was least expecting this to be one of my favourite and staple shades as it is not much talked about shadow in MAC classics but to my surprise this is such a versatile shade to own in your vanity for a crease , transition or even to fill brows for that ombre effect .

Shade – MAC Cork is described as Muted golden brown , it is beautiful warm toned light caramel brown shade with very fine golden sheen to it , the sheen is barely there which makes it look more lively and not a flat shade . I do find that it is easy to dupe kind and hence a hefty price tag puts me off but having said that, I would definitely pick this over any other shade as the texture is bang on!

Texture & Formula – MAC Cork is from SATIN finish which is not one of my favourite as I find them hard to blend but this has really nice texture, very creamy and is easy to blend and build. There are very few SATIN finish from MAC which is delight to work and this is one of them.

Pigmentation – The shade is nicely pigmented and needs very little layering and as I mostly use this for contouring I find it has great colour pay off with and over all easy to work texture .

Staying Power – MAC shadows do need a good primer and this applies here as well, the colour stays good without creasing for 7 – 8 hrs easily.

Overall Thoughts

This is very versatile shadow and can be paired in so many different ways and can be easily incorporated and looks beautiful with plethora of combinations. I find MAC Cork is great shadow to work in the crease, on brows for some people and especially great and universally flattering as a transition shade.
