I absolutely love pencil eyeliners that come with a smudger. It just makes it so easy to get that perfect smoky eye look on days when you’re in a rush. A big fan of smoky kajal by Colorbar, I thought of giving it a miss this time to try the new L’OREAL Paris Color Riche Le Smoky in the colour Black Velour.

Packaging – I love the packaging of Le Smoky Eyeliner. It comes in a black and gold pencil form with liner on one side and smudger on the other. The caps covering the product are transparent making it easier to know which side has the liner and which has the smudger.

Texture/Formula – I was thoroughly impressed when I swatched the kajal at the store during the time of purchase. It is really pigmented and has an extremely creamy texture that glides on smoothly on the eyelids (almost like butter).

However, how much ever I love the packaging and pigmentation of Le Smoky, what disappoints me most is that the kajal is not transfer proof. Since I have oily eyelids, I hate liners that transfer to the upper lid after application. L’OREAL Color Riche Le Smoky transfers to the upper lid of my eye after application even after using some powder to control the oil on my eyelids.

Staying Power – Not only that, even after application of the waterline, the kajal comes off very easily if you just end up touching your eyes by mistake. The only good thing about it is that it does not smudge on its own when you apply it on the waterline.

Overall Review:

I will not be repurchasing L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smoky Eyeliner Black Velour as it transfers and does not stay on my eye lids for any more than 2 hours.
