Chandigarh is another city that I love to travel to whenever we have couple of holidays at hand. Reaching there via road or train is easy and convenient. This time during my daughter’s winter break we thought of catching a train and spending holidays at this lively city. After an amazing staycation at Hyatt Regency Gurgaon we chose Hyatt Regency Chandigarh for the stay.
Hyatt Regency Chandigarh is 16 kilometres, 20 minutes from Chandigarh International Airport and 4 kilometres from the Chandigarh Railway Station. The property is grand and spread across 5 acres. The lobby area is huge and the colourful additions of art on the walls make it lovely and beautiful ! There are 211 rooms, including 25 Suites and 7 Cabana rooms.
The theme was again marble+wood work which I loved. The room was big, spacious if you travel with kid(s) they will have plenty of space to play around. The LCD , study table and couch next to window added to the comfort.
The bath area is quite spacious with slider door. There is a bath tub, vanity area, shower cubicle. The bathroom was well lit and spacious.
The hotel offers valet parking to all the guests, which is always a plus if you love travelling by car/road. The valet parking can accommodate upto 500 cars.
The check in was swift and the staff was very courteous. We reached into our rooms and fall in love with the view ! The huge glass window letting in sunlight and lighting up the whole room made it so cosy & home like.
Hyatt never compromises on customer service, the room service was prompt always.
The hotel has a Multi cuisine three meal restaurant, Italian restaurant, Lobby Café and a Bar.
Urban Cafe (The multi cuisine restaurant) you can see milk cans used in various colors for decoration. The entire hotel has a touch of punjab in every nook & corner which is something I found different and warm than rest of Hyatt properties I have stayed in so far.
Piccante the italian restaurant that has beautiful interiors, very contemporary, and served delicious italian cuisine. I loved the dimly lit and modern setting.
Stage the bar serves some of the finest cocktails and offers chilled out atmosphere for those who would like to catch up on drinks or a quick get together.
The hotel has Gym, Pool & spa. Amaira spa is one of the best spas I have ever been to. The aromatherapy massage was so rejuvenating as well as the whole set up & the experience. You can read about it HERE
Complimentary wifi made sure that work doesn’t suffer. High speed internet kept us connected with the world even when we were in vacation mode.
I will highly recommend Hyatt Regency Chandigarh whether you are in the city for a leisure or work trip. The hotel staff, amenities and luxury feel is worth each penny.
