I can never have enough scrubs, as exfoliation is a part of my skincare regime and I make sure to do it twice a week at least. My skin is acne prone and a product with antibacterial properties sounds just perfect. I have been using Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub for couple of years and it has found a permanent place in my regime.
What it does:
Himalaya’s Purifying Neem Scrub removes impurities and dead skin cells. It also cleanses excess oil from the skin’s surface, which is the root cause of acne. The natural ingredients cleanse, nourish and moisturize your skin to make it soft, fresh and radiant.
- Neem is an excellent skin care ingredient known for its antibacterial properties. It improves general skin health and immunity, combating bacterial infections such as acne, boils and ulcers. Neem tackles bacteria from the root and prevents the recurrence of pimples and blemishes.
- Apricot granules gently exfoliate dead skin cells, to bring out your skin’s natural glow
It comes in a tube with a flip top cap, very travel as well as user friendly packaging. The scrub has a runny consistency which makes it easier to spread on the face. I take appropriate amount of scrub on my fingers and gently massage it on my face using fingers on a clean wet face. It has a cream base with granules made of apricot shells. I like exfoliators that are packed with particles but aren’t harsh or scratchy on the skin.
It lifts away dead skin, smoothens rough areas in the skin, cleans up all the accumulated dirt, removes black heads easily without ripping skin off its moisture. I make sure to focus on the trouble area like my jaw line, nose & forehead. Without putting pressure I massage it in circular motions and let the neem work its magic on the acne causing bacteria. This scrub is very beneficial on the skin especially on those days when you have travelled all day long and have been exposed to lot of dirt, heat, sun and sweat.
My skin is dry-combination but it doesn’t make it stretchy which is why I enjoy this product a lot. I will not advise using scrub on active acne or pimples , but once it has subsided or purged. Regular use makes sure that those pesky pimples wouldn’t come back and in my case I have seen the difference.
Also because of its price and efficacy it would be the best choice for people on budget or teenagers. My husband equally enjoys it and on his request I have already purchased it twice.
Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub is available in 50g and 100 g sizes priced at Rs 70 & Rs 130 each.
