As all Estee Lauder products Double Wear Concealer also has a simple yet elegant packaging, and provides a full and flawless finish without making the skin look made up. For my experience I get the best and most natural looking finish when I blend it off with my beauty blender or the real techniques miracle sponge, I did try it with a concealer brush and also my fingers but it didn’t seem like it got fully blended into the skin ,but with a sponge I get most desired finish.

It did take me a little long to discover this concealer ,but since the day this came with me ,this hasn’t left my under eye even for a single day, I did put my smashbox concealer aside ,since I got this one, I love the coverage and the finish it provides, and like all the other members from the double wear range ,it is long lasting without making the under eye area dry or line-prone .

Shade – I got mine in the shade 08 warm light medium, it a light colour with yellow under tones ,tough the yellow is not very strong, its more of like a balance between pink and yellow under tones ,leaning more toward yellow.

The colour that I got is visibly lighter as seen in the swatch for my under eye ,as my under eyes have heavy really dark circles , so what I do is in the inner corner ,where it’s the most dark I first apply a corrector/mac studio finish concealer in nc45 and then top this double wear concealer over it ,doing this makes my under eye look concealed ,and also makes the area appear lightened up ,without making it look ashy , so I get the concealing and the highlighting at the same time .

Texture & Formula – To explain I would say that the texture of Double Wear Concealer is pretty similar to that of the pro long wear concealer from MAC ,it dries and settles to a natural finish, not too matte, not too dewy, I would say it settles to skin finish and has zero wear feel, and is true to name, flawless cover .It doesn’t feel drying at all, despite these winters and skin dryness. When swatched on hand and blended it does seem to be a little emollient ,and feels to have oil in it’s base, but when blended I don’t find any oiliness at all.

Coverage –  The coverage ,seems to be full on the under eye ,but if concealing blemishes are concerned ,say if you have to conceal a pimple, you might see some redness on the crown the pimple peeking through not much tough. Overall I am very satisfied with the coverage that Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer provides on me.

Staying Power: I had a wear of almost 6 to 7 hours before I saw any fading, I won’t complain of creasing any how specifically of this concealer, as every other concealer creases a little in my inner corners, and its not different to this also ,I do see a little amount of creasing in the inner corner say after 4 to 5 hours. Overall thoughts

What I love about Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer first and foremost is the packaging, it comes in a glass fibre bottle ,with a screw on golden cap that doesn’t look tacky at all tough, I don’t specifically love or hate the doe foot applicator that it comes with. The product itself has a beautiful mild fragrance to it. It doesn’t have any glitter or shimmer in it, which I absolutely love, I hate when camouflaging concealers have shimmer in them.

I would totally recommend this concealer to anyone who looks for a medium to full coverage concealer, and as it comes in a wide variety of 12 shades with warm as well as cool under tones ,so we can hope for each of us to find our perfect shade
