My love for black eyeliners is eternal. I love applying eyeliner even when I rushing. It makes me look less tired and more human like. For such days I prefer using a pen style eye liner since they are easier to use. I have tried many in the past and currently using Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner. It is a black liquid eyeliner.
Packaging is simple black sleek pen with a rubber grip. The rubber grip is really good if you are a beginner and want a steady hand, it does make the application quick and error free.
Shade – I have in black shade, Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner is also available in Blue & green. The shade is black enough to look opaque though it isn’t the most black I have ever tried. I like it for its light weight sleek packaging and rubber grip.
Formula – The liquid eyeliner isn’t very pigmented. I have to go over the line at least twice to get an intense black line. The tip is always saturated with liquid and you don’t have to shake it before using, unlike other pen style liners. The finish isn’t matte entirely but works fine for me, since it isn’t overly glossy. I prefer matte finishes over glossy ones.
Pigmentation – Like I said, Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner is decently pigmented but once you reach at the end of your wing, it kind of gets sheer. I have to go over it atlas twice to get an opaque line. You can see in the look above the eyeliner towards the end of the wing looks less opaque/ sheer.
Staying Power – On me it stays on for good 5+ hours, and starts fading from the outer tip. Formula is smudge proof but not waterproof, which is a bummer since my eyes tend to get watery and the liner fades easily. At this price we expect more and I guess Maybelline The Colossal Liner is a better option.
Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner is priced at Rs 550 and available online as well as colorer stores.
Overall Thoughts
Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner is a good choice if you like pen style eyeliner. It is a good black liquid liner with a user friendly built. The tip is not too stiff or wiggly and does the job really well. The formula stays on for a decent time and is smudgeproof. For me the only downside would be non-waterproof formula.

With liners alone it is always great if the product is waterproof. This sounds like a decent product otherwise.
