Bugdet Friday – Basicare Powder Brush Review

Basicare Powder Brush ( Rs 260) available at Flipkart.com Finding a decent makeup brush online in India is not an easy task. Many a times I have tried to avoid international shipping and looked around to find a brush that can do its job well. One one of my such quests I bought Basicare Powder Brush.

Brush bristles are made of natural hair and has a plastic handle. Basicare Powder Brush is pretty light weight. Brush is fluffy and picks right amount of product and spreads it on skin evenly. Basicare Powder Brush (3)I have washed the brush thrice and it doesn’t shed more than 2-3 bristles. It dries up pretty easily. There was a glossiness on the bristles of Basicare Powder Brush when it was new, however after consistently using it for a month and washing , glossiness has faded away. That doesn’t mean it looks like a broom, It’s still holding its shape well.

Its one of the affordable brushes available in Indian market. The quality you get at this price is good (IMO). I would recommend it to those who have low budget or don’t want to spend much on makeup brushes or need a brush that does what its supposed to.

Only downside is that brush isn’t super soft, I find it a bit pricky/ scratchy. Not to an extent that i stop using it but after using Sigma & Real Techniques brush it doesn’t feel very soft. Also I brush isn’t good for blush/ bronzer application. I keep it only for powder application.

Overall Thoughts

Basicare Powder Brush isn’t the best powder brush available in the market, but its good enough for its price. We have very few options and 80% of them fall into high priced category. So for those who are beginners in makeup and want a decent brush for everyday use can definitely give Basicare Powder Brush a try. Its affordable and doesn’t shed.
