You splurge and spoil yourself in a Bobbi brown store, so did I when I accidentally dropped my self at a new York ambience sophisticated Bobbi’s layout of luxury, and seriously did I come out with a cute bag, and a bill that caused a huge burning hole in y pocket, but the price I paid is 1000% genuine for the quality I get out of my little luxe black compact, read on to know why do I rave so much 🙂

Shade: I got mine in no.3 golden orange, which I feel is a tad too yellow for my skin tone, I mean the shade gradient is just perfect, but the tone is a little too yellow-orange for my skin , but that really helps in camouflaging/counteracting the redness that my cheeks have in severe winters so yayy..!! , as it is a translucent powder the yellowiness, doesn’t make me look jaundice struck or anything. But yes it does look darker for my skin sometimes, specially now when I have gone a shade fair, since I bought this, but I kind of work it anyhow.

Texture & formula: As for the texture of the sheer finish pressed powder, it is really soft and fine. I would say that Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder is as good as Chanel’s formula in my opinion, it doesn’t crumble up in the pan or anything, but isn’t stiff so that you swirl and swirl your brush and don’t get any product, it is a perfect balance between a silky smoothness of loose powder, and feasibility and sleekness of a pressed powder. I anyway have dry skin, and goodness grace, it doesn’t accentuate any dryness on my skin .

Pigmentation : As the name suggests Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder is a sheer translucent powder, so my face doesn’t looked caked up, or powdery when I wear this, but it has enough pigment and colour intensity to counteract the redness on my cheeks, but if you are looking for a powder to set your under eye concealer, and if you are using a warm toned concealer like the ones from NW from mac, chances are that this might change the colour of you concealer.

Staying power: I don’t really have oily skin so I am not the best person to say how much time does it control the oil, but I sure feel my face non-sticky or non-greasy for about 5 to 6 hours, after which I feel the need to retouch the powder .

Overall Thoughts

The shade made my skin look darker and less bright, specially in winters, because it becomes way to yellow orange, but yeah as I told its good for the redness on the cheeks, the texture of this is really finely milled, and pressed, I absolutely love the packaging, its compact and secure, and it comes with a foam puffy applicator, which I don’t really use, as it tends to deposit way more product than I desire, comes with a great quality mirror, and makes the skin look flawless and smooth upon application, what I kind of dislike is, that I go through powders like really quick and this guy costs rs.3100 for meagre 11gms, where as the one’s from MAC cost about 2150 for 15gms, also next time I guess, I am going to opt for a lighter shade or so, for winters I would recommend to moisturise your skin well, if you intend to apply Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder, but in summers, this would be your perfect partner on the go, other product that I picked from BB, would be up soon for review, till then keep smilingggg  yayyy..!!
