Avon makes some of the best drugstore/ affordable lipsticks in the market. I myself prefer their lipsticks over many budget brands. Formula is always creamy and moisturizing and they offer number of shades. Avon has recently expanded its Ultra Color Range and introduced Absolute Lipsticks. Packaging – I like the packaging of Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick. Its fun and girly. Pink case with a pink translucent cap. It doesn’t look or feel cheap and is pretty sturdy.
Shades – I am reviewing 5 Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipsticks today. These have with no hint of shimmer/glitter.
- Lovely Fuchsia is a bright pink lipstick
- Buttered Rum is a dark almost chocolate brown lipstick, least favorite shade.
- Smooth Plum is a plum purple shade
- Caring Coral is a beautiful coral orange color
- Rich Merlot is a beautiful wine red lipstick, absolutely stunning !
Texture & Formula – Texture of all the 5 shades is very buttery and these glide on smoothly. Formula is smooth and creamy. My dry lips love these lipsticks as they stay on for a long time without drying them out. None of the shades settle into fine lines. Finish of all the shades is quite glossy. Due to sheer glossy color, Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick tends to bleed out of lip line but a liner can fix the issue.
Pigmentation – True to Avon’s claims , Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick provides medium coverage. Lighter shades like Lovely Fuchsia & Caring Coral 4-5 swipes to get medium coverage, where darker shades like Smooth Plum, Rich Merlot & Buttered Rum need 3-4 swipes and give almost full coverage.

Staying Power – Sheerer shades stay on for 3+ hours and darker shades stay on for 4+ hours.
Overall Thoughts
Avon lipsticks are always good value for money and these Ultra Color Absolute Lipsticks are no exception. Shades are rich and formula is beautiful. These are quite moisturizing and stay on for a decent time. If you are looking for good affordable lipsticks, do try this range.

Rich Merlot is my favorite from the range too Shalini..Infact all the shades in this Absolute Range are gorgeous and wearable and thankfully none have shimmer ..Btw, I love the FOTD collage..it become sso much easier to compare shades when placed/worn side by side
