5 Must Have Eye Makeup Brushes – Beginner’s Series

I am sure lots of girls use fingers to blend and apply eye shadows. That’s a convenient way but yes makeup brushes make the application neat and effortless. I still use my fingers while applying cream eye shadow.. But yes if you are planning to venture into eye makeup, start with these “5 Must Have Eye Makeup Brushes”

You can buy these brushes from MAC, Inglot, The Body Shop, Kryolan, Faces, Bharat & Dorris if you are from India. If you don’t mind buying from International sites you can also pick brushes from Sigma, Real Techniques, Coastal Scents, bhcosmetics.

For Cheap options look at Kryolan, Faces, bhcosmetics & Coastal Scents5 must have eye makeup brushes (4)

Flat Eyeshadow Brush – The basic purpose of this brush is to apply eyeshadow on the eyelid. Its densely packed hence picks up the right amount of product. You can use it in wiping motion or pat it in case you are using loose pigments.5 must have eye makeup brushes (2)The brushes I am using for applying eyeshadow are (from left to right) Kryolan (Rs 80), Faces (Rs 120) & The brush that came with UD naked Palette.. My favourite brushes are from Faces & Kryolan.

Blending Brush – Blending Brush is fluffy and helps blending out the eye shadows. It also helps to blend eyeshadow in the crease area. I use two different brushes, One is large and fluffy, other is short and dense.5 must have eye makeup brushes (1)Why 2 different brushes for same task? The brush on left side (Bharat & Dorris No 60) helps in blending out two colours but wouldn’t help if I want a separate color to place in or above the crease. The brush on the right (Kryolan No 3511) helps in placing color on the crease and really helps in precise application & blending. You can have both or just the large fluffy brush to begin with.

Pencil Brush – I love this brush, It just makes placing and blending of color on the outer V super easy and precise. I love to use it to place color above or in the crease and then blend that out using short blending brush. Its a must have in my eyes since it gives you control and makes cat eye shadow makeup easy. I use Sigma E 30 brush for this.5 must have eye makeup brushes (3)Angled Brush & Eyeliner Brush – Angled or slanted brush can be used for eye liner application or fill in the eyebrow. Due to its slanted shape its really helpful for cat eye liner application. I personally use this to apply eyeshadow as eye liner or filling my brows.  But when I want to apply a eye liner close to my lash line I need a separate thin/ fine brush.5 must have eye makeup brushes (5)Angled brush (On left) is from Ecotools, a really in expensive brand, I bought this from buyincoins.com. On the right Eyeliner Brush is from Kryolan, it was for Rs 100. I would really suggest you all to have both in your kit.

These are the brushes I use at this moment to do eye makeup. Yes you can have more brushes in your kitty like a short shader brush or a small pencil brush to make eye makeup more easy and fun.

That’s all for now I hope you girls enjoyed this post. I have made sure to include affordable brands which are easily available in India.

Let me know If you have any queries.
