A sunscreen is a must have no matter what season it is, and I make sure that I don’t step out of my house without wearing one. However, I like the one that doesn’t leave a white cast behind, is non-greasy, and has a higher SPF to protect my skin. I recently tried out the WOW Skin Science Sunscreen SPF 55 Lotion and will share with you what I feel about it today.
About WOW Skin Science Sunscreen SPF 55 Lotion –
WOW Skin Science Sunscreen Lotion SPF 55 is a non-greasy, non-chalky, non-patchy, fast-absorb and lightweight product suitable for intense sun exposures.
Infused with raspberry & carrot seed extracts and avocado oil – all natural sun blockers – its bioactive formulation dries quickly without clogging pores to form a transparent protective layer on skin. This layer shields skin from sun’s harmful UVA & UVB radiations, and also from pollutants.
Packaging: The sunscreen comes in a brown coloured tube with a flip tip cap, which makes it easier to dispense the product. It is not any different from most of the sunscreens available in the market. I like the matte brown coloured packaging though and the way it feels when I hold the tube in my hands.
Formula: This sunscreen has a very different formula than the ones that I have previously tried. When I dispense it only my fingers, it feels mousse like and very lightweight. And when I apply it onto my face, it blends effortlessly without leaving any white cast, which is what I like in a sunscreen.
Finish: The WOW Skin Science Sunscreen says that it has a matte finish. However, when I apply it on my skin, it doesn’t entirely mattify my skin and leaves a very smooth finish with a subtle glow. I like how it looks on my skin. Since I have extremely dry skin in winters, I like to wear a sunscreen which gives my skin a dewy finish.
Colour: It is white in colour but doesn’t leave any cast behind once I apply it on my skin. I like how easily it blends in my skin and doesn’t feel sticky at all too.
Quantity and price: This sunscreen comes in a 100 ml quantity and costs ₹ 399, which is a great deal to be honest. And I only need a pea-sized amount for my entire face, so it would last me for months. I think this is one of the best affordable sunscreens that you can find in the market.
My overall thoughts on the product:
I am really impressed with how WOW Skin Science Sunscreen SPF 55 Lotion looks and feels on my skin. The thing that surprised me is its mousy texture and the dewy finish that it gives to my skin. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin at all and sits on my skin very well. It also doesn’t make my skin sticky or oily, which is what I like especially during the dry days of the year.
Also, since it comes with SPF 55, it helps in protecting my skin well and for a longer time. I do not feel the need to reapply the sunscreen frequently since this one lasts on my skin for longer duration. I do recommend you guys to give this one a shot if you are looking for an affordable sunscreen.
The only thing that I feel is off it its claim of giving a matte finish, because it doesn’t make my skin look completely matte.
