The liquid lipstick trend is here to stay, it seems. Most of the brands have later or sooner launched liquid lipsticks in Indian & internationally. There are still some brands I can’t get hold of, but Nyx was recently launched in India , making its products accessible to all by being present online as well as offline. I always wanted to try Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick range but never did because of the price. Last month I gave into the temptation and picked NYX Vintage, which is a beautiful dark shade for the fall/winter.
Packaging is simple and user friendly. Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks come in colorer tubes with an applicator. All the tubes represent the color of the lipstick which makes our lives easier. Tubes are opaque and simple yet sturdy.
Shade – Nyx Vintage is a burgundy shade which is perfect for those who love to sport deep dark shades. I love such colors and this shade would suit all skin tones.
Texture & Formula – Now coming to the texture, the lipstick feels like a liquid cream formula. It feels moisturising and glides on smoothly on the lips. I really like how it applies evenly without sucking the moisture out of the lips. It doesn’t settle or accentuates lip lines.
Formula is non-drying and takes a while to completely set. It isn’t completely transfer proof and transfers on cups etc. Though it doesn’t smudge or move outside the lip lines. NYX Vintage Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick has the perfect matte non-drying formula which most of us love. It keeps lips moisturised and comfortable throughout the wear.
Pigmentation – It goes semi-opaque in first swipe, but as you put the second layer, the formula becomes opaque. It is opaque enough to cover dark/ pigmented lips offering an even finish.
Staying Power – It stays on for good 5-7 hours on me with slight fading from the centre after meal.

Overall Thoughts
If you want to give your lips a break from the usual moisture sucking liquid lipsticks then this range is worth a shot. NYX Vintage Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick is a perfect shade for the fall/winter season as it suits a variety of skin tones. The formula feels moisturising on the lips and doesn’t accentuates dry/chapped lips. t would love to pick more shades, probably neutrals from this range for sure.
