I am reviewing Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen for Babies SPF20+ today. I love using baby products. They are milder in formula, made with safer ingredients and also free from harmful chemicals. I also enjoy the soft smell that most baby products have. Sunscreen is a must for everyone. 
It is an ultimate product for people of every age. Sunscreens protect the skin from damaging ultra violet rays of the sun spectrum. Studies have shown that majority of premature related problems start from sun damage. Using an effective sun protection formula can save your skin from diseases like melanoma and hyper pigmentation.
Sunscreens are of two types; physical sunscreen (zinc oxide based) and chemical sunscreen (oxybenzone or avobenzone based). Packaging: Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen comes in a white plastic tube with bright green flip cap. The chubby sunscreen tube looks cute with its animated camel figure. The packaging is very simple but sturdy.
Ingredient list is also provided in detail. I have bought the smaller 50ml size. It has a bigger size too. The bigger one comes in pump bottle. Mamaearth is a plastic positive brand. They recycle more plastic than they use in their packaging. This packaging is also made using recycled plastic.
Colour & Consistency: This sunscreen has no artificial colorant. It looks pure white; the colour of its main ingredient zinc oxide. Its consistency is thick and creamy. It gets absorbed into the skin within 1-2 minutes and does not feel greasy then. Just like any zinc oxide based sunscreens, this one too needs a little massage to get blended into the skin.
It leaves a white cast on your skin as well. Immediately after application, the skin feels cool for a minute or so. As the water part evaporates, the cooling feel goes off. I sometimes get slight burning sensation from chemical sunscreens; this zinc oxide sunscreen does not irritate my skin.
Fragrance: This sunscreen is free from chemical fragrances. It has lavender essential oil. The soothing light fragrance of lavender pleases my senses. I think it would be loved by babies as well.

My Overall Thoughts
As we all know, sunscreens should have at least SPF 30 to provide substantial sun protection in direct sunlight. Your baby too needs broad spectrum sun protection. Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen comes with only SPF 20 and PA+. I use it only indoors or when I am out in the sun for not more than 10 minutes.
I have sun sensitivity. My skin starts to sting as soon as it gets exposed in harsh sunlight. Checking the effectiveness of a sunscreen is not an issue for me. Sunscreens, that actually work, make my skin sting less. As time passes and sunscreen starts to lose its effectiveness, the skin starts to get red and irritated.
With Mamaearth Mineral Based Sunscreen for Babies, my skin remains calm for about 10-15 minutes. I bought this because it was the cheapest mineral sunscreen with safer ingredients. Mineral sunscreens are more expensive than other type of sunscreens.
I think it’s a good mineral sunscreen for you and your baby, given you are not using it for beach vacation or longer sun exposure. Another fact, this sunscreen contains very minimal amount of preservative. So, use it up within 4-5 months of opening the seal.
Otherwise, the organic ingredients such as lavender oil starts to lose its efficacy. This is my second tube. My first tube expired within 3 months as I kept it in humid bathroom shelf.
