Makeup Revolution Iconic Blush Bronze & Brighten Palette Review

Make-up Revolution is a now a well-known super affordable make up brand from London known for their excellent palettes! Ever since Makeup Revolution has become available in India it has become my favorite. I really like how compact these palettes are as they are sturdy, slim and lightweight classy black beauties  & contain a large mirror, which makes them great for taking along. One such product that I am raving about these days is Makeup Revolution Iconic Blush Bronze & Brighten Palette.

I loved the idea of having a bronzer, blusher and highlighter: all in one as it’s very travel friendly and while at home it comes in handy if one is running out of time without having to hunt out each product from your stash .This palette is such an affordable dupe of Sleek’s palette.

There are four shades available (Flush, Smoulder, Rave and Golden hot) each having a bronzer, blusher and a highlighter for varying skin tones. And I decided upon Smoulder, which I thought would suit my medium to fair skin tone and would be great for summers.

Packaging  – Iconic Blush Bronze & Brighten Palette comes in a sturdy, sleek black plastic packaging, secured in a black hard paper cover outside. Both outer cover and the palette have the product name with ingredients mentioned. The best thing about packaging is the full length mirror and product sits in three rectangular pans. I loved the packaging. 

Texture & Formula – The formulation of this palette is to die for. They’re like super pigmented, blendable and lasts quite long. They have a silky, creamy, smooth texture. Application and blending is effortless and just right to work with. Doesn’t look ashy or chalky at all.

As the products are intensely pigmented one needs a light hand but can always build up for a more intensified pay off. Also I haven’t experienced any fallouts as the brushes pick up just the right amount.

I will talk about Shade & Pigmentation product wise:

The bronzer is light brown with orange undertone, completely matte with no shimmer. For my skin tone it’s a perfect shade for a light contour but won’t work on medium to dark skin tones as the bronzer shade is not brown enough but warms the face perfectly. The pigmentation is average and I need to build up to make it work as a contour. It is a great product for beginners though.

The Blusher is an earthy rosy pink shade with no shimmer which is very pigmented, so a light hand swirl is just enough. The blush is slightly darker than it looks in the pan. Gives a fresh rosy glow to the face; blend it unless you see the natural flush of color on the cheeks. Great every day wear shade.

The Highlighter is the best one in the Iconic Blush Bronze & Brighten Palette. It’s a cool champagne color highlighter which will suit all major skin tones perfectly. It looks slightly silvery in camera but trust me it highlights and illuminates skin and gives a subtle glow on to my face without making it over the top. Looks extremely natural even in daylight. The shimmers are fine milled and doesn’t looks grainy. Also works nicely under the brow bone, on the inner corner of the eye and on the cupids bow.

Staying Power – The color payoff is really good and stays on for good 5-6 hours on my oily to combination skin. A good primer and fixing spray elongates the staying power further.

Overall Thoughts

I think Iconic Blush Bronze & Brighten Palette is a perfect palette for everyday use. A must have when you are on the move as these palettes are so compact, slim and lightweight that they fit perfectly in your make-up bag. If you’re a contouring newbie, I would recommend picking up an Iconic Palette. It’s quick, easy and effective. Large mirror is an added advantage. It’s easy to merge all aspects of the palette together to achieve an effortlessly defined and beautiful look.

It gives a great natural finish to the skin and staying power is pretty decent even on oily skin. Super pigmented, super blendable and super affordable! This Palette from Makeup Revolution will now always be my GOTO product. I highly recommend it to you all !!!
