I adore all shades of Grey, Taupe, Soft browns for my crease in general and that is how when I came across this wonderful shade from MAC permanent line of eye shadow – MAC Copperplate. This is not a new shade and is here since ages and as I adore MATTE2 finish I picked this without even swatching and trust me it is pure love at first swatch.

Shade – MAC Copperplate is described as muted mid tone grey  , it is cool toned very light , muted shade of grey which is great as a transition shade and I adore this to incorporate in my looks which are cool toned and requires more blending . This is very flattering shadow and something you can easily find in palettes like UD or LORAC.

Texture – MAC Copperplate is from their MATTE 2 range which by far is my absolute favourite and something I would buy blindly and recommend easily, the texture is very creamy, blends easily and is buildable in nature.

Pigmentation – At first when I opened the pan I was little sceptical but surprisingly the shadow is nicely pigmented and is opaque very easily, I do find it needs a little layering but that’s a positive thing as you can never go wrong with a texture and finish like this.

Staying Power – MAC shadows require a good base to show up and with that it stays crease proof for 7 – 8 hrs easily.

Overall Thoughts

MAC Copperplate Eye Shadow may look a very simple and not a necessary shade but to me this is a great transition shade and a must have if you like your eye looks to look more blended and seamless. A shade like this can be found in neural palettes so do shop your stash before you plan to pick this, I adore MATTE 2 finish and hence picked this on a whim and there are no regrets at all.
