L’oreal True Match BB Cream (Rs 550 for 30 ml) available at Nykaa
I am not a big fan of BB creams as I don’t like light coverage but I am very happy to have this with me.
Shade – I choose shade N1 Ivory that is the lightest shade. It has neutral undertones. The second shade – Golden has yellow undertones but it was showing up more orange on me. This shade is a tad bit lighter for my NC35 skin tone but it adjusts and mimics my skin tone within 2 minutes of application.
Packaging – The BB Cream has a very classy and elegant packaging. It comes in a flat squeez tube having champagne shade body and metallic golden cap. The packaging is sturdy and easy to use.
Texture & Formula – The texture of the BB cream is very light and comfortable as it is water based. The consistency is neither too thick nor too runny and blends beautifully into the skin. It is very moisturising but doesn’t make the face look shiny. Also, presence of spf35+++ is an added boon.
I feel that the formula is best suited for dry to combination skin types as it has dewy finish. Oily skinned girls can use a compact to set this.
I have used this BB cream in humid climate as well and it doesn’t melt or budge. These days, I am battling with small blemishes that are coming again and again but this BB cream did not irritate or accentuated them. It doesn’t clog pores or make them prominent.
However, this BB cream doesn’t photograph well under flash as it has high spf in it.
Coverage/Pigmentation – L’oreal True match BB cream provides sheer coverage. It just evens out the skin tone making it look more radiant but blemishes, redness, pigmentation marks need proper concealing.
Staying Power – It stays for about 4 hours on me without fading but after that I can easily see my face becoming dull and the dewiness converting to shine!!!
Overall Thoughts
L’oreal True Match BB cream is one of the newest BB creams available in India. It is light weight providing sheer coverage. The formula is water based, moisturising giving dewy finish. It actually blurs minor imperfections yielding a healthy, radiant face but major skin problems need proper concealing. Presence of spf 35+++ is a great advantage as I can skip my sunscreen when I am wearing this. But, it doesn’t photograph well under flash and has low staying power. Also, the shades available are limited.
Personally, I am loving this BB cream and wearing it almost every day but for shorter span of time as it keeps my face well hydrated and provides dewy finish.

I hv combination oily skin and i am using this..so far i am really happy so i cn say it might suit oily skin as well..the dewy finish can be made less with a compact..
