L’Oreal Paris Gullmet Fuchsia Matte Extraordinaire Lip Color (Rs 950)

L’Oreal had launched Extraordinaire Lip Color Range couple of months ago. It was a hit amongst lip gloss lovers, however I am not much of a lip gloss person since they need repeated reapplications. This time while wandering at a beauty section I discovered the newly launched L’oreal Matte Extraordinaire Lip Color !! The Packaging is almost similar to the previous launch, however this time its rose gold in color.

Shades – There are 11 shades available in Extraordinaire Matte Lip Color range, however deep dark or neutral colors are missing, which is quite disappointing since I am not into lighter-neon shades. I managed to pick this beautiful fuchsia lip color – Gullmet Fuchsia, the only shade I found interesting from the entire range. 

Texture & Formula – The texture of L’Oreal  Matte Extraordinaire is quite creamy, almost similar to NYX Lip Cream. It glides on easily and feels quite smooth & moisturizing, throughout the wear. Despite of being called a matte lip color, the formula looks and feels creamy and doesn’t sets completely, which leads to transferring. Also I wouldn’t call it a light weight, because you can feel the heaviness once its on. After a while it settles as a satin finish color. The interesting part is that the formula wouldn’t cling on to dry chapped lips and looks beautiful even after meals etc.

Pigmentation – I find it very pigmented ! Gullmet Fuchsia is a one stroke opaque finish color, however I need two swipes to even out the color and tone of my lips. Applicator with a pointed tip makes the application very easy.

Staying Power – On me it lasted good 4+ hours ! It keeps on fading and transferring and tuns into a stain after a while.

Overall Thoughts

First of all L’Oreal Matte Extraordinaire Lip Color isn’t a matte formula. Its almost in between a creamy and satin finish. The product doesn’t settle or sets completely , hence keeps on transferring. Formula is quite moisturizing and doesn’t emphasis chapped / dry lips. Staying power is decent as well.
