Lancome Dream Tone (Rs 6900 for 1.3 Fl Oz) available at Lancome Stores.
Introducing New DreamTone, 3 barely-tinted serums to visibly correct dark spots, color imperfections and uneven skin tone. DreamTone is the next generation of dark spot correction. So powerful, 72% of women dare to bare their skin.* I have talked briefly about Lancome Dream Tone in the Launch Event Post. I liked the ombre design on the bottle and it has a unique twist up pump. In short the packaging is very fancy !
Lancome Dream Tone comes in 3 variations. Fair, Medium & Dark. It has a slight tint to it but doesn’t do any noticeable difference to the complexion when applied. Variations are for targeted complexions – Fair is for redness, Medium is for dull sallow complexion and Dark is for pigmentation, though as per my understanding formula remains the same, its just the tint that is different in each serum.
Formula contains micro shimmers that give illusion of glowing skin. It works like a subtle highlighter, a cream highlighter infact. Shimmers are so tiny that they just add to the glow and aren’t visible once applied.
Formula –
Lancome Dream Tone has a gel cream alike texture. It sinks into the skin in seconds. I have used Lancome Dream Tone for 4 weeks , daily at night right after cleansing my skin. I need only one pump of the serum. It feels moisturizing on skin but I need additional moisture and thus can not skin night cream.
My Experience
After using it regularly for 4 weeks I was expecting my dark spots to lighten a bit, but there wasn’t any noticeable difference. Also I started observing white heads across my face every now and then. That simply means that formula of Lancome Dream Tone was not going well with my congestion prone skin.
It didn’t really see it doing much to uneven skintone and even after continuously using for almost a month I couldn’t really spot any difference. I was expecting it to even out pigmentation a bit.
Overall Thoughts
Lancome Dream Tone failed to impress me. It didn’t do anything for my uneven complexion and dark spots. Its an expensive skincare product and only “optical illusion” of glowing skin doesn’t help much, I want any skincare product to improve my skin texture by working on it not creating an illusion of perfect skin. Also formula caused white heads so I would highly recommend getting a sample of this serum before buying full size bottle.
