La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume AP+, Lipikar Syndet Review Price

Being someone with dry skin almost all year around, finding a good intense & long lasting moisturiser is a tough task. Another challenge is to find one that doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. In India we have summers almost for 7-8 months and anything that is heavy doesn’t really work. I recently came across Lipikar Baume AP+, Lipikar Syndet from La Roche Posay and have been loving the duo completely. I have been using these for over 2 months now and thought of sharing my views with you.

Laboratoires La Roche-Posay created Lipikar 20 years ago. This range of body products for dry skin among adults and children has proved effective in a number of clinical trials, establishing it as a market-leader in emollient products.

Lipikar Syndet (Rs 990 for 200 ml) is a body cleanser that comes in a 200 ml tube with a flip top. The texture is a cream-gel which is quite easy to work on the skin and foams up nicely. It doesn’t have the slippery feel that generally body washes tend to have. The foam cleans up the skin without causing dryness. My skin is dry and specially on the body it gets worse. I was experiencing dry patches on some parts of the body and this cleanser is perfect for those with dry skin.

The cleanser doesn’t have any scent which makes it perfect for very sensitive skin. Also the formula is so gentle that it cane be used on kids too. So we both (mother daughter) are sharing these two for the past 60 days 🙂

Lipikar Baume AP+ (Rs 1400 for 200 ml) is a soothing balm that prevents itching in dry/ very dry skin. I like to slather body lotions but only thing that deters me from doing it is the heavy feel that follows. I like intense moisturisers for body so that I don’t have to reapply them. This body lotion is amazing ! The gel-cream texture is an intense moisturiser that works beautifully and hydrates the skin without feeling heavy. It is perfect for winters and definitely soothes dry skin. The dry patched on my skin have completely gone now !

Only downside with Lipikar Baume AP+ can be the intense moisture part which may not suite people with normal to oily skin. You wouldn’t need too much product, a little goes a long way.

Overall Thoughts 

I really like both Lipikar Baume AP+ and Lipikar Syndet as the duo is perfect for my dry skin. Also the fact that it is gentle enough to be used on kids makes it more useful. The formula of balm doesn’t break you out, I had issues with back-acne and it hasn’t aggravated it. The no-scent formula is good for those with sensitive skin. Only con is the packing as opening and closing them is a tough task. The cap shuts so tightly that I struggle with it all the time.
