I am not a lip liner girl, because thats an added step for me, and I don’t really have time to do my makeup with all the convenience. I do it in 5 minutes in real life and if there is a family function then probably in 15 minutes. Using a matching lip liner is too much for me but this time I really wanted to get one for my nude lipsticks so the application looks neater, and also to develop the habit of using them. The sales executive at Kiko Promenade mall is quite good and understood the requirement well. She showed me Kiko Ever Lasting Contour Lip Liner 404 and rest is history.

The light, creamy texture smoothes on leaving a matte finish that’s long wearing*. Its long-lasting formula defines the lip contour with a precise, intense stroke. The colour glides on evenly and easily.

The high-tech pencil features a built-in sharpener and applicator; SmartTouch® which makes the pencil easy to grip; and a retractable design that allows you to twist-up and down the product as required. The product that twists up is only 3 mm wide for a precise pencil stroke.

Packaging is retractable one, and there is a plastic smudge on the other end. The cap represents the shade of the lip liner which makes it easier to spot the shade of your choice.

Shade – 404 is brick color as per the website, but I find it more dusty brown. It is a perfect shade to wear on its own or as a lip liner. The color is a perfect everyday shade and due to its matte texture make it for a great work wear shade.

Texture & Formula – Texture is smooth but slightly dry, but it glides on easily with a little tugging. I believe the formula is what lets the shade stick to your lips for a long time. Formula feels nice and not extremely drying on the lips. I have worn it more than thrice and it does look pretty great ! It is darker than most of the nude lipcolors I have but looks pretty good when blended with them.

I haven’t used the smudge side much, it is quite rubbery.

Staying Power – Very Impressive ! Kiko Ever Lasting Contour Lip Liner 404 stays on for more than 7 hours with minimal fading. It is a waterproof formula so stays on for a long time.

Overall Thoughts

Everything about this liner except price is amazing. There are a lot of shades to choose from the range and I am surely going to pick a lighter shade soon.
