Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Eye Balm (46$ for 0.5oz ie. 14g)
I have tried 2-3 eye creams in the past and all of them were good. I dont have any under eye circles or lines as yet so normal eye creams work well for me as my main motive is under eye hydration. I was intrigued to try Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Eye Balm after hearing it a lot from one of my friends.
A word on the product:
“Rosa Arctica Eye helps to revitalize the appearance of skin in the delicate eye area for visibly younger-looking eyes. This formulation uses a unique combination of white birch, squalane, and our rare “Resurrection Flower” to provide an immediate smoothed appearance and a lifted, firmer eye area.”
Packaging– I love the packaging .It is very soothing to eyes as the shade. Though it is nothing fancy but I like it. The Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Eye Balm is housed in a pale sea glass green container. The colour gives the jar a beautiful chilled appearance. It is handy and very travel friendly. However, my major grudge is the tub style packaging as you need to dip your finger to take out the product and when my nails are bigger, half of the cream goes into the nails leading to wastage.
Texture & Formula- Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Eye Balm has a balmy texture. It is a really nice as it is rich in texture yet it doesn’t make the under eye area oily like heavy creams. It contains mineral-derived brighteners Mica and Titanium to provide a brightened effect to the eye area. A blend of Shea, Carnauaba, and Cocoa butter hydrates the eye area. Rosa Arctica Eye also incorporates in its formula the Squalene , a moisturizing oil from olives that are easily absorbed through the skin to be very compatible with the natural oils of the skin.
These days, due to colder weather, the cream has become a bit stiff and I generally apply it by warming it between the fingers and then spreading it under the eye through my ring finger. It spreads really well and my eye area feels moisturised and fresh. The cream has a very mild fragrance that is delicate and goes off within few seconds of application. Overall Thoughts
I have been using Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Eye Balm for 4-5 months and feel that my under eye area has become soft and velvety. My eyes look bright and fresh the next morning. Also, a very small amount is needed. It also helps in reducing puffiness around the eyes which is I encounter quite often. I highly recommend this cream. It is expensive but an investment.
