Today I am going to talk about one of my favourite bronzer of all time –  Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. It’s the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. That name itself sounds so yummy so is the smell. Too Faced is again one of my favourite high end brands, it cruelty free and all their stuff looks and smells amazing.

Bronzers are one of my favourite makeup products. They are so versatile. A sweep of bronzer can do so much for your looks, it can give dimensions to a flat face, it can add a bit of warmth to very pale skin and on a little round faces it can help define your cheekbones. Also instead of using blush and bronzer both, you can get away with just using a bronzer to give your face a little colour and warmth at the same time. But, then again you have to be careful in selecting the right bronzer for your skin tone. Otherwise you might end up looking too orangey, ashy or muddy.

What it does: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder makes getting glam-and-tan downright delicious. Too Faced combines the natural, therapeutic effects of real cocoa powder with their signature bronzing pigments, creating a unique matte bronzer that neutralizes red and evens out and enhances all skin tones. The complexion is left with a flawless finish, a gorgeous radiance, and a subtly sweet scent.

Packaging – The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer comes in black and golden cardboard box and the actual product comes in a beautiful muted golden compact. The compact is so gorgeous and classy to look at and has a design on top with the brand name embellished on top. The compact comes with a decent size mirror inside. Classy but sturdy packaging and it is definitely travel friendly.

Shade – The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer comes in three shades. Milk Chocolate – for light to medium skin, The Chocolate Soleil for medium to deep skin and Dark Chocolate Soleil for deeper skin tones. So they have the shade range which satisfies all skin tones.

The Chocolate Soleil is a warm toned bronzer but the best part is it not orangey and doesn’t show up orange or ashy on the skin. Another added plus is that it is a matte bronzer but it doesn’t look flat on the skin nor does it look muddy. It is the perfect bronzer for my skin tone and I do use it for natural contouring also. It will work as a great bronzer for medium to deeper skin tone.

Texture, Finish & Fragrance – The texture of this bronzer is so finely milled and buttery. It is a silky smooth powder and doesn’t feel chalky at all. It applies and blends seamlessly into the skin. It sinks in so well into the skin that you cannot guess that there is a separate powder on your face in the places you have applied it. It blends into the skin, disappears into it and looks beautiful on the skin. And the fragrance is just awesome. It smells of chocolate/cocoa like most Too Faced products. It just makes me want to gobble it up.

Pigmentation – It has decent pigmentation. It shows up with the first sweep itself. But since it blends in so beautifully, you can build it up for a more visible finish. Even when you build it up it won’t look streaky or blotchy. Instead it will blend in seamlessly how much ever product you use.

Staying Power – It stays on, on my skin for about 6-8 hours. In extreme sweaty summers upto 6 hours, otherwise upto 8 hours. I am quite satisfied with the staying time.

Overall Thoughts

I love this bronzer so much. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer is my go to bronzer and I use it all the time. I have to force myself to keep it away coz I don’t want to run out of it, even though I haven’t made a dent on it even after using it for a year. This pan is going to last me a long time. It is a perfect bronzer for people with medium to dark skin tones, and those who love natural finishes. This is will add a natural warmth and contour to your skin without looking harsh, blotchy or streaky. I love this bronzer for all that, the texture and that heavenly smell. I would definitely recommend it to all.
