The Face Shop Chia Seed Moisture Recharge Serum & Soothing Mist Toner Review

If you have a normal or oily skin and you are looking for a refined but simple skin care routine, this product line is for you. High in omega-3, fibers, proteins, antioxidants and minerals, the Chia seed has those remarkable properties that help moisturize and invigorate the skin effectively with a light and refreshing texture.

I bought these products when the weather was still hot and I was looking for a daytime moisturiser that is non sticky or heavy. I picked the Chia Seed Moisture Recharge Serum because it was a gel based product.

This concentrated serum brightens and softens skin. Composed of gel capsules that burst upon contact with your skin, it offers all the benefits of the Chia seed. The epidermis is nourished and hydrated, and skin is invigorated without a sticky effect.

The serum comes in a small 50ml pump bottle. The pump dispenses right amount of product and I take 2 pumps for my face & neck. The serum is a gel and sinks into the skin almost instantly making it feel plumped and smooth. The gel has a cooling effect and feels quite soothing. It basically works as a moisture booster for skin, those with oily/combination skin can use it as day time moisturiser but I do need an additional layer of moisturiser over it. I don’t see it doing much apart from hydration though which is sad since I expected it to do much more than just hydrating my skin.

I don’t use a specific toner but rose water or any moisturising face mist after cleansing my face in the night. I was running out of my rose water and thought of picking Chia Seed Soothing Mist Toner which came in a huge spray bottle. I prefer mists over regular bottle since they are easier to use. The mist is fine and doesn’t drips, which makes it perfect post-makeup spray.

The mist is one of my favourite products these days since it moisturises my skin without adding stickiness to it. I like how fine the mist is, it feels soothing & calming. The scent of chia seed is mild and pleasant. I use it whenever my face feels dry or dull.

Chia Seed Moisture Recharge Serum & Soothing Mist Toner are priced at Rs 1600 & 1290 respectively
