Envy Box June is my second last box – in a one year subscription and I am feeling relieved. For the last few months I spend considerable time trying to figure out whom to hand over more than half the contents of the box. This month is not very different. I’m happy with one or two of the products and give away the rest.
What I have learned in the last few years of subscribing to these is that there is a certain theme. Most boxes have Shampoos, Body lotions, and masks. They stay away from the more expensive skin care altogether or send a one size fits all that is quite useless essentially.
This was again a mixed box for me. The contents without further ado –
- Herra Hair Care Protect Hair Perfume. Full size 50 ml for Rs 2495, in the box 10ml – This is a hair perfume that protects and nourishes the hair whilst giving it a mild fragrance. Suitable for all hair types. Now this is the kind of product that makes a beauty box worth while. It introduces you to new ranges and never used before categories. LOVE this and will be using it soon.
- O3+ Aloe Derma Hydrating Gel. Full Size 50gm for Rs 385, in the box Full Size – This is a brand that keeps popping up in boxes. Frankly i’m strictly ok with the products so far and even though this is a full size I’m not too thrilled.
- Calin Klein CK2. Full size 100ml for Rs 3800, in the box, Vial. – I actually like getting perfume samples. Even the vial size works as I get about 3 uses out of one. That is normally good enough for me to know whether I want a full bottle. This works quite well for me.
- L’occitane Divine Cream. Full size 50ml for Rs 6990, in the box 2 sachets – This was the main teaser for the box. And when you shout out from the roof tops that you are sending a highly coveted product then your subsribers are bound to want more than 2 tiny sachets. Now, unlike most bloggers I’m quite happy with sachets – just would like more of them. If I have to drop almost 7000 on skincare I need at least a weeks supply to decide how it works for me. So ideally I would like to get between 7 to 10 sachets. This is just one of those things thats there on paper to showcase a brand but doesn’t really translate into any sales.
- Votre Purifying Deep Cleansing and Clearing Masque. Full size 100 gm, Rs 1090 In the box 50ml. I have received more products of this brand than I would like to. I must have used about 3 to 4 of them and not liked any so far. I am frankly quite biased against this and will probably give this away without even trying it.

Overall Thoughts
My Envy Box June 2016 is a typical box, some likes, some ok, and some not for me. Love the hair perfume, will use the sachets but can definitely not decide on how much I like the divine cream. CK2 will be tried over the next few days. O3+ Gel will be used when I run down my existing hoards of Korean skincare. Votre mask will be given away.
