Dubai Travel Experience Part 1 – Stay At Four Points By Sheraton

Last month we were planning this long due vacation and deciding on place/country to visit was the toughest task. Since it was my first International trip I was not very keen on spending too much time in air-travel, so we were left with couple of options and because my husband has been to dubai before we zeroed on Dubai. Dubai is a bit expensive, however climate and distance were of my preference so in any case we went ahead. I was planning to cover stay, travel, sight seeing

Air-Travel – We picked Emirates Airlines since the ride is very comfortable when compared to other airlines. Due to heavy fog our flight to Dubai got delayed by half an hour, however the whole journey was pretty much comfortable. Total travel time is 3-4 hours. Breakfast/lunch was served on the flight (drinks/food was complimentary).

During our visit to Dubai I stayed at Four Points By Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road. Hotel rooms are spacious and clean, the view from the balcony is spell binding. Location is quite good with The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa & Dubai Fountains just 4.5 Km and Metro station few feets away. Staff is quite courteous with special mention to the Bell Desk Guy Marin. He helped us with chalking out the sight-seeing plan for us and we were able to visit almost all the places in 5 days stay.

In room dining was smooth and Food tasted good too. The breakfast buffet was quite good with lots of international delicacies, however the cafe area was quite small, which looked over crowded in the mornings. There are couple of other restaurants and a roof-top bar, which offers the most scenic view of the city !

Walk out of the hotel and you will find number of restaurants on both the sides. So there is no dearth of places to grab a bite even at midnight. The location is just perfect if you love midnight strolls, quite safe and bustling.

Airport (Emirates) is 20 minutes away and there are number of food joints along the sides of the hotel. Free wi-fi is also available for the guests.
