I am all about eye makeup and love my smokey as well as neutral makeup looks.  The body shop launched couple of new makeup products last month and I was all excited to get my hands on few. I got my eyes fixed on Down To Earth Eye Shadow Quad Plum , which has beautiful plum toned shades. I thought it would be perfect for a soft smokey as well as toned-down daytime makeup looks.

The The Body Shop Down To Earth Eye Shadow Quad is available in 4 shades – I picked 04 Plum. The palette comes packed in a cardboard box. The product comes in a beautiful black sleek reflective palette. It looks chic as well as classy. The palette is slim and carries 4 eyeshadow pans. The quantity is good and each pas weighs around 2 grams each.

• Penrhyn Slate
• Bengal Granite

I loved the selection of colors in Down To Earth Eye Shadow Quad in Plum. The matte brow bone highlighter is my favourite as i am not fond of shimmery highlighters. The shades are a mix of shimmer and metallics. The compliment my complexion and look gorgeous.

Texture & Formula – Texture of these shadows is very smooth & blendable. The matte shadow has soft creamy texture and it blends beautifully. Rest of the shadows are smooth too except for the frosted second shade (next to highlighter top row). The shade is sheer and needs opaque base to show up. The palette is good for day time as well as dramatic smokey looks. I can create multiple looks using same eyeshadow palette.

Pigmentation – As you can clearly see from the swatches above the pigmentation varies from shade to shade. But the formula of the shades is so smooth and works without much fall outs.

Overall Thoughts

I really like the color selection in The Body Shop Down To Earth Eye Shadow Quad Plum 04. The sleek palette is really goo for travelling since it comes with a nice big mirror and quite good sized pans. However at this price I expect better color payoff. The pans can be taken out and if you have more than one of these palettes then you can switch the colors around and customised the palette, which is amazing.
