Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan Removal Scrub (Rs 199 for 85 g) from nykaa.com
A tan removal product has been on my wish list for a very long time. I hate bleaching my face, I find it makes more sense to just attack the tan and remove as much as possible. Bio Papaya scrub was a no brainier. I wanted to try out something specifically aimed at removal of tan.
Packaging – Biotique Bio Papaya Scrub comes with an outer cardboard box. On the inside is a green plastic bottle with a wide jar style mouth. I like this kind of sturdy and easy to use boxes since it is really difficult to use fiddly bottles when your hands are wet. Texture – The scrub is a dirty yellow and very thick in consistency. You need to dip your fingers in and pick up the scrub. The scrub spreads well with water – scrub particles are slightly on the larger side and are a little rough for my liking. I prefer either softer scrubs or chemical peels that don’t cause physical abrasion. Having said that, I still like the overall clean feeling that I get when I use this.
There is a very generic cream smell, that is reminiscent of small stand alone parlors. Nothing that bothers you though.
The bottle instructions say you can use this daily, but I am going to refrain from doing that. I don’t use scrubs daily anyway, just once or twice a week, or when I’ve been exposed to a ton of pollution. My Experience
I do find that my skin feels clearer on use. I cant really comment on the tan removal, I guess it will take repeated usage over a few weeks to show any of that. So far, I have used Biotique Bio Papaya Scrub on alternate days for a week. I also find that my skin looks more even with lesser dark spots overall.
Overall Thoughts
Note to self: Stop being such a snob and explore brands that may be budget. Biotique Bio Papaya Scrub sits really nicely in my skincare regimen, I don’t have anything currently that promises tan removal. I know I will be using this regularly.

Yes Arpita, it’s worth a shot, and being a budget brand, becomes a guilt free trial anyway
