Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad Glow Teal (Rs 799 for 5 g) can be purchased through Avon Representatives.
I have always loved the look of Avon Eyeshadow Quads and wanted to try them some day. Recently I got a chance to attend the launch of Avon’s new “True Color” makeup range. I am already in love with their lipsticks and decided to give these quads a try.
Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quads are available 5 combinations/ color variants. I really like the classy and sturdy black case. There is a push button at the front of the case , press it and lid pops open. It also comes with inbuilt mirror and dual sided sponge tip applicator. All the shades have numbers (their order to be used on eyelids) engraved. You can see where to apply which shade by looking at the backside of the palette.
Shade – Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad Glow Teal comes with 4 shades , Disco – A pearly cream color with blue shimmers (that are few in numbers), Satin Taupe – A true taupe with satin finish, A shimmery Teal and a shimmery sapphire blue color. All the shades work in conjunction and create beautiful wearable look. I am totally loving “Satin Taupe” as that particular shade can be worn alone for daytime events and it looks very beautiful !
Texture & Formula – Texture of all 4 shadows is different. I find Disco & Satin Taupe quite smooth/ finely milled and easy to work with (apply and blend) , on the other hand Teal is easy to work with & Sapphire Blue has a slightly dry texture , making it bit difficult to blend. None of them is chalky or powdery , and I haven’t experienced any fall outs ! Disco acts as a perfect highlighting color without looking too white/ obvious. Satin Taupe glides on smoothly too !
Pigmentation – Pigmentation varies across the board. Disco & Teal are quite sheer, Sapphire Blue is moderatly pigmented and Satin Taupe is very pigmented. Teal needs layering to show up well, sapphire blue gets bit dry but shows up pretty well.
Staying Power – I have worn this makeup look for over 6+ hours with Sapphire Blue creasing slightly . On a eyeshadow base/ primer these stay on for good 7+ hours without any noticeable creasing.
Only downside is dry texture of Sapphire Blue & Sheerness of Teal. Also some people might find it a bit expensive.
On the back of the packaging they have mentioned which shade has to be used where, so following those instructions I have come up with this eye look >
Overall Thoughts
I liked all the shades in Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad Glow Teal. There wasn’t any noticeable fall out or chalky/ powdery texture in any of the shadows. Only downside is the slight dry texture of Sapphire Blue and sheerness of Teal shade. Other than that its a good travel friendly palette. These palettes can easily be purchased through an Avon agent.
