Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch review (1)

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch comes in pen like packaging with a brush tip. You have to click small button at the bottom for the product to come out. Packaging is luxurious and travel friendly. Not to forget that the first time you use it, you would have to keep on clicking for 50 times for the product to come out.

Shade – I was matched with number 5.5 Praline Lumiere. Praline Lumiere has yellow undertones. There are shades with Pink & Yellow undertones, so you can get one you want. Initially SA recommended me 4.5 but it looked way too light, I am not a fan of looking grey so decided to go with 5.5. Please remember that Radiant Touch Pen can be used both as an under eye brightener & highlighter.

Texture & Formula – I have some puffiness and shadows under my eyes and while going out casually I love to apply a sheer formula to cover them. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch is sheer but covers and lightens up under-eye area brilliantly, I mainly use it for hiding under eye circles/ puffiness and it works really well. Texture is very light and has micro shimmers, which blend into the skin and highlight without making one look like a disco ball.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch can be used to highlight various areas of face like Bridge of nose, browbone, cheeks & area around mouth. But the formula is not opaque enough to cover flaws.

How I use it

I apply single pump of the product under both the eyes, which is more than sufficient. The consistency is little watery/ liquid so it takes time to set. I dab the product around my eyes and on the orbital bone. Formula instantly hides under eye bags & shadows and brightens the area. I don’t really have to set it with a powder since it doesn’t settle in fine lines or creases. I love to just put a powder foundation all over my face for that awake and fresh look. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch review (5)I decided to put a picture using Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch on my bare face since foundation hides the shadows under my eyes easily. You can see how it has brightened up my under eye area. It looks more natural without flash, flash leaves white cast !

Staying power – Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch stays up for 7-8 hours without creasing or settling in fine lines.

Dupes

Maybelline has on highlighting pen but the only challenge is that I never find a shade that suits me + it doesn’t look natural (formula is visibly sitting on the top of skin). I hope that someday we will have other affordable highlighter pens like L’oreal Lumi available in India market.

Overall Thoughts

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch is not a concealer, its a highlighting brightening pen that covers and brightens up under eye area and looks absolutely natural. If used as a highlighter on high points (of face) it gives the most natural looking luminous glow, as if the skin is glowing from within. Formula takes seconds to blend and disappear in skin. You can use it alone as an under eye brightener and concealer or over foundation for highlighting, it works both the ways perfectly. Only Negative point is price , which is way to high. Also remember its a radiant pen not a concealer so it wouldn’t hide super dark under eye circles or blemishes. I will definitely recommend this product to girls who want natural looking bright under eyes. I am going to stick with this product unless I find a dupe.

sounds great! I think colorbar also has a highlighter pen on the same lines… radiant glow face illuminator for around 500 bucks 😛

Ritu , Colorbar Highlighter pen wouldn’t double up as under eye concealer I guess 🙂

colorbar one is way too shimmery for under eye but its a gorgeous product..
i would suggest maybelline one as said by shalini but the shades available are really hard to match..the maybelline one doubles up as a concealer as well as a primer also…

Sounds brilliant. I do like the Chambor one, not very similar but close enough.

You should. I went with the suggestion of the SA and am regretting it. The shade is way too yellow and dark for me. When I tried telling her that, she was adamant that this was the right choice for me. And I listened to her. Silly me.
