Yves Rocher Tradition De Hammam & Cranberry Mask Review

Trying a new brand once and then start buying each and every product is something I have been doing for years now. I tried a couple of Yves Rocher makeup & skincare products last year and then decided to dig in a little more and bought two more skincare products. I am hoarder when it comes to face masks and have over 8-9 masks in my stash. So Yves Rocher Tradition De Hammam & Cranberry Cooling Effect Mask are the two new products I have been testing out for good 2-3 months now.

Yves Rocher 3 Min Cranberry Cooling Effect Mask (Rs 400 for 50 ml), sounded perfect for summers. I love to apply a gel based cooling mask after sun exposure. This mask is made of cranberry extracts and is free of parabens. It was an impulse buy I must add, because I already have aloe vera masks from two different brands and they more or less work the same way.

I follow the directions and apply it liberally all over face & neck and let it work for 3 minutes. But I don’t see it making my skin any brighter or fresher , unless I keep it in refrigerator and let it become a real-cooling mask ! Well I have tried it not once but numerous times and failed to see any benefit.

Tradition De Hammam Moroccan Clay Mask For Face & Hair (Rs 1300 for 100 ml) , This was my extravagant purchase from the brand since it looked luxe and yes with luxe ingredients. Pure Moroccan Clay & argan oil sounded like two miraculous ingredients for dry skin/ hair. This mask can be used on face as well as hair which intrigued me the most.

It comes in tube and has a quite runny consistency for a clay mask. It is grey in color, like most clay based masks, and dries in 5-10 minutes. I have tried it on my face numerous times and saw it making my skin smoother & softer. It doesn’t make my face dry or stretchy by any means.

On hair it was kind of a disaster. I put it on for the first time and post wash my hair felt so dry, almost like hay ! So I swore not to use it on my head ever again. Maybe it will benefit oily scalp/ hair., but for dry hair, NOT recommended.

Overall Thoughts

With a heavy heart I have to admit that neither Tradition De Hammam Moroccan Clay Mask For Face & Hair Nor Cranberry Cooling Mask knocked my socks off ! I have tried a lot of good cooling as well as clay based masks that do wonders for the skin and cost much much less.

The names of both the masks sound so cool…pity the cranberry one is disappointing. I hate masks that do “nothing”. Will get the Moroccan Clay mask since I love clay masks. And thanks for the warning…will definitely not put it on my hair :p
