I am loving neutral shades these days, the kind of shades you just pull out of your makeup bag and apply without worrying about the occasion or dress color. I have a secret wishlist that features some luxury brands and I keep on ticking off one each month. I had YSL Rouge Volupte Shine on my list for a long time and this month it was her turn 🙂

Shade – YSL Rouge Volupte Shine 07 Rose Infinite is a beautiful Rosy-brown shade with subtle shimmers. The shade is a perfect neutral shade for me which gives a polished look. I believe this shade would look absolutely gorgeous on medium to deeper complexions. Due to its sheerness even fair girls can wear it comfortably.Lets not talk about the packaging or it will take forever for me to explain how gorgeous that is. It speaks class & luxury.

Texture & Formula – Texture of YSL Rouge Volupte Shine No 7 is very sheer, glossy and balmy. It feels so comfortable on lips even after wearing off completely. Shimmer adds to the shine without showing up. My dry lips swear by it as it doesn’t settle in fine lips nor does it accentuates cracks/dryness. Due to its glossy finish lips appear plump and fuller. Formula is slightly slippery.

Pigmentation – Like I mentioned YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks are sheer and I need 2-3 swipes for a even semi-opaque coverage.Staying Power – YSL Rouge Volupte Shine No 7 stays on for 3+ hours on me. Due to super glossy and semi-sheer formula, the shade tends to fade after meals.

I can very well compare the formula to Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks which is again one of my favorite high end lipstick range. However the packaging of YSL is undeniably the best in the class.

Overall Thoughts

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine No 7 Rose Infinite is worth investing the money. If you have medium to deeper complexion this shade would work as a perfect everyday color. Formula is balmy and keeps lips soft and supple throughout the wear. I am definitely eyeing more shades from the range.
