I have always wished to at least buy one product from all those high end super expensive brands. They might be selling an ‘Ok’ formula in a luxurious packaging, but who cares !! The feel of wearing them would be luxury itself.

Similarly YSL was always on my wish-list. So this time I decided to pick one lipstick from them which is YSL Rouge Pur Couture Rouge Vermillon shade 4.

Rouge Vermillon is raspberry red shade. Texture is smooth and creamy, it glides on lips like a dream without tugging or pulling. Pigmentation is superb, single swipe delivers excellent color which covers lip discoloration

immediately.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Rouge Vermillon#4 has mild fruity floral scent to it which is not bothersome and goes away after sometime. The formula is moisturizing and feels quite comfortable on dry lips. It neither settles into lip lines nor does highlight them. The finish is matte which looks glossy when freshly applied and goes matte after sometime. Once applied it settles down and doesn’t bleed or move whatsoever.

Staying power is 5+ hours and it survives light meals. With heavy meals it fades a little from middle of the lips. Last time it stayed on me for good 6 hours.. It stains lips a bit even when wears off, that way you wouldn’t be left with bare lips.

I believe YSL Rouge Pur Couture Rouge Vermillon#4 would suit all skin tones. The shade is bright but not bright enough to look OTT. I have worn it during the day and it looks great ! One can wear this as a stain as well.

That’s how it looks on me , it looks more raspberry than red on me.. I am glad 😀

The only negative point would be the price. I would definitely love to buy more shades but with sheerer formulas.
