Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Review Photos

I am a self proclaimed lipstick junkie and hoard lipsticks like a maniac. There was a time when i used to hoard liquid lipsticks too until they started drying out my lips mercilessly. Well We all love a long staying lipstick but not on the cost of my poor lips. Now after chucking most of my Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks I was “liquid lipstick free” for quite few months until Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick range came along. Initially I picked just one shade – Give Me Mocha and then picked 3 more ! I have been wearing these off and on for few weeks now and here are my views –

What glides on like butter, feels like a second skin and wont budge? Our Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick! Made with glammed out superpowers, it goes on glossy yet transforms into a high – pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power. Read our lips This color is going nowhere. 

Packaging is very simple and user friendly. The see thorough tubes are great if you are like me and love to have just more than one shade. The cab shuts tightly and the whole packaging feels good quality. I am specially in love with the applicator which is slightly curved and soaks up quite a lot of liquid, which means no going back and forth. The curve hugs the lips and make the application easier and less messy. Well less messy because you can’t get a precise application with liquid lipsticks unless either you are a pro or use  a lip liner to take care of the edges.

Shades – I have picked 4 shades –

Rebel Rose – Mauve Pink

Give Me Mocha – Warm toned Brown

Nice To Fuchsia – Fuchsia Pink

Missy & Fierce – Bright warm toned red

Now all the shades look good on me except rebel rose, however with a dark lip liner I can make it more wearable. Rest 3 are beautiful and would look good on medium/ deeper complexions.

Texture & Formula – Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick has the formula very similar to PAC Matte Gloss or Colourpop Ultra Matte liquid lipstick. It is runny and sets within few seconds of application. Now the formula has a sticky finish for the initial few minutes and sets into a complete matte finish.

I like how the formula is comfortable without feeling drying on the lips. I have dry lips and even without lip balm these don’t feel uncomfortable. Now liquid matte lipsticks will always emphasis lip lines/ wrinkles. The formula doesn’t transfer and stays put for a long time.

Pigmentation – The lighter shades are a bit sheer and need layering. The darker two are quite opaque. Good thing is that Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks are build able in terms of coverage.

Staying Power – Good 7 hours with bit fading from the centre of the lips after meals.

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for non-drying but long staying comfortable liquid lipsticks then do give Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick a try. Unfortunate they haven’t launched many shades here. Only downside would be their semi sheer formula that needs layering in some shades.
