Shade – Wet n Wild Color Icon Vanity Eyeshadow Palette comes with 6 colors, wherein 3 are matte and 3 have shimmers. Matte shades are Beige, medium brown, deep brown. Shimmer shades are cream with golden shimmers, Gold & Dark brown with golden shimmers.Wet n Wild Color Icon Vanity Eyeshadow Palette review swatches photos (5)Texture & Formula – Texture of all the 6 shades is smooth and easy to work with. Formula of matte shades is soft but not chalky or powdery, though I love to work with all the 6 colors to create a perfect look.

Matte shades – The medium brown shade is perfect nude shade and I love to sweep it on my eyelids for casual outings, It covers darkness and evens out the tone. I found matte shades easier to work with with no fallouts.

Shimmer/ Frosty shades – Except the brown bronze shade rest two aren’t easy to work with as they are very sheer. I have used MAC Indianwood paintpot as a base to give gold shade a boost.wet n wild vanity eyeshadow paletteNone of the shades turn muddy while blending. It can be a go to neutral palette for all skintones.

Pigmentation – Like I mentioned Gold shade from 3 shimmer shades is the least pigmented. Bronze & the dark brown shades are the most pigmented. Beige matte shade works great as highlighter.

Staying Power – Staying power varies. The matte medium brown shade stays over a concealer for good 4 hours with no creasing however a primer increases is staying power by 2-3 hours. The golden shade, due to its sheerness, is hard to build up on its own, so a golden base would give it required color boost.

This is the eye look I have created using matte beige as highlighter, Gold as all over eyeshadow color, matte brown mixed with brown bronze in outer V and medium brown in the crease. On lower lash line I have applied matte brown mixed with brown bronze and golden shade in inner corners. Overall Thoughts

Wet n Wild Color Icon Vanity Eyeshadow Palette is a good budget buy if you are looking at wearable shades. Mix of matte and shimmers make it a perfect palette to carry. Quality of Eyeshadows vary but keeping the price tag it comes with, I can overlook this issue. All in all its good to have a good neutral/ wearable eyeshadow palette.
