VLCC De-Pigmentation Day Cream (Rs 399 for 50gm)

I have slight pigmentation around the corners of my face and wanted to give this product a try as my earlier experience with VLCC products has been good and shown results.

About The Product:

Key Ingredients of VLCC De-Pigmentation Day Cream With SPF 25 :Mulberry Extract, Turmeric Root Extract, Glycolic Acid, Methyl Salicilate, Titanium Dioxide.

Packaging- The cream comes in a white coloured plastic elongated tubular body that is handy and easy to store. Again, the only problem is that I have to dip my fingers but it’s not too unhygienic in this case as the mouth of the tub is big and the amount comes out easily. The cream is travel friendly and the mint blue sticker on the tub is very soothing.

Texture & Formula- The cream is white in colour. It has a nice texture. It isn’t very thick nor very runny. The cream doesn’t feel heavy on application and absorbs quickly in to the skin. I thought it would be giving a dewy finish but this cream provides a semi-matte finish that is really nice.

The De-pigmentation cream has a very mild pleasant mulberry fragrance that I love. It lingers on for quite a while. It has spf25 which is great, I used this cream in last summers and skipped sunscreen and I didn’t get tanned which is another advantage of this cream.

Effectiveness- I have Combination-oily skin. During the initial days I started using this cream, I was very pleased by this as I could see my face getting brighter after 4-5 days of usage. However, I started getting small pimples around my cheeks which increased at a great speed after I applied this cream again. So, I had to stop using this. Altogether, I could not use this cream for more than 5-6 days as it broke me out terribly.

Overall Thoughts

I would have loved using VLCC De-Pigmentation cream every day. It has a great texture, lovely finish and the fragrance is simply amazing. However, the fact that it broke me out so much keeps me away from trying this cream again. Might be that it’s not suitable for my combination-oil skin so dry-normal skin girls can give it a try. It does shows results though.
