VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash Review

Hello people! My today’s review will circle around VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash. Face cleanser is in everyone’s daily needs kit. Your skin care doesn’t take a proper start until and unless you cleanse your face.VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash Review

Though there are plenty of skin-safe DIYs of natural cleansers, a readymade face wash will be an inevitable choice after a hectic day of daily chores. I have oily to combination skin. My skin loves gel-based face washes far better than foam washes. Using the same old face washes every time bores me a lot.

I always keep my eyes open for budget-friendly ones. VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash is one of those face cleansers I repurchase time and again. Ever since VLCC launched their Ayurvedic range face washes, I have been using them on and off.

There are four face cleanser variants in this range. I have used all of them but this Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi variant works best on my skin. Wondering why am I singing such praises about VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash? My detailed review will answer all your queries!VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash Review

About VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash

Deeply cleanse your skin with VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash – a unique formula, endowed with the richness of Ayurvedic herbs – Haldi & Tulsi. While Haldi (Turmeric) has antioxidant properties that fight the reactive oxygen species that damage your skin Tulsi is rich in ursolic acid which has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties both of which ensure deep cleansing of the pores. Thereby making your skin look fresher and more nourished.

Features:

1. Paraben Free & Synthetic Colorant free

2. Soap Free formula

3. Ayurvedic Formulation

Packaging: This face cleanser comes in a see-through plastic tube with flip-open dispensing system. The dispensing hole is not very wide; it is of standard diameter. The product inside is thinner than usual so a lot of face wash comes out as you tilt the tube.

A transparent plastic label is glued to the tube to display all the necessary details, claims, ingredients etc. The packaging is not too flimsy but at the same time not super sturdy. If you drop it on hard floor, the tube will remain intact but the cap will break.

This is definitely not the best kind of packaging from VLCC ranges but the quality is passable considering the price. After all, you need the product inside the packaging; not the packaging itself!

Colour & Consistency: VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash looks pale yellow in the tube. Once you take it out in small amount, the faint colour almost disappears and it looks colourless.

As per the information provided by VLCC, the face cleanser does not contain any artificial colorant. The colour we are seeing might have resulted from the ingredients or organically sourced colorants.

Consistency wise it is a transparent gel. The texture is pretty thin. It is a flowy liquid wash; not at all your usual gel based thick formulas. Generally, face cleansers of this consistency suit every skin type.

It is a paraben free product but it is not possible to tell if it contains sulphates or not. VLCC hasn’t revealed what’s inside their ‘cleanser base’! The face wash does not feel harsh or drying on my combination skin. It does not lather much and gets washed off without slimy residue.

Fragrance: This turmeric and holy basil enriched face wash smells like wild turmeric or kasturi haldi. VLCC hasn’t mentioned anything about the fragrance agents in the ingredients section so it is not possible to trace out the actual source of the smell.

The fragrance might be from essential oil of turmeric which is the second major constituent of this wash. It can also be turmeric flavoring. However, the turmeric fragrance feels freshening to my senses. Even if you despise the spicy turmeric fragrance, you won’t be bothered as the mild smell has very less stay time.

Quantity & Price: You have to pay Rs.110 to get a 100ml pack of VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash. The price won’t burn a hole in your pocket as you can buy it as low as Rs.75-80 during online sales.

There is one 50ml trial size as well. If you are a first-time user or looking for a travel size face cleanser, do try this one. As I mentioned earlier, this is one of the cheapest face cleansers from the entire Indian drugstore face wash range. Considering quality, quantity and price, it is a value for money product for me.

My Overall Thoughts

Turmeric and holy basil are two power packed ingredients for oily skin. Both of them have natural anti-inflammatory benefits. They soothe common skin issues such as acne, rashes and redness. Presence of these two as main ingredients was one of the reasons why I opt for VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash.

This runny face cleanser is able to get rid of the excess oil and accumulated dirt from my skin and gives a fresh feel after every use. I could feel the deep cleansing effect from the first use. These days my skin does not break out much. Let me tell you this wash will not do anything on breakouts.

It will not irritate them further but won’t improve the zit situation as well. Don’t expect any darkness fading action with this. This is a basic face wash and it performs well as a deep cleanser. I use aha-bha based cleansers once a day, generally in the evening.

VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash is a great neutral face cleanser that I use in my morning skin care. It never irritates my skin and does not hinder the effects of skin care actives such as niacinamide or retinol.
