Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer Review Photos

Urban Decay makes amazing products and am a big fan of their eyeshadow palettes. They have a line called Urban Decay Perversion which includes kajal, eyeliner etc and this unique product called lash primer. Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer was part of a holiday kit that I purchased last year.

What is a Lash primer – A lash primer is a product used on the natural lashes to protect it from harmful effects of your mascara and also to increase the lasting power of the mascara. A lash primer can also give you that fresh look especially on days when you don’t feel like wearing makeup.

Packaging – Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer comes in a classy white colored tube.  It is like a mascara and comes with a brush for application.

Color & Fragrance – Urban decay lash primer does not have any fragrance but is white in color. It is a slightly thick white colored cream that needs to be applied on the lashes and then blend upwards with fingers. This is the technique I follow as the brush does not blend the product onto the lashes because of the thick consistency.

Texture & Formula – While initially it appears thick, after blending, it feels light weight on the eyelashes and does not even give a feeling that something is applied. The lash primer definitely gives a fresh look to the eyes. This would be great for those who have minimal lashes.

Staying Power – Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer can be applied 2 minutes before you apply mascara and it definitely helps your mascara last longer and waterproof. No heavy feeling with the lash primer on.

Overall Thoughts:

Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer is a great product to enhance natural lashes and also to increase the staying power of the mascara. However on a daily basis, I would not suggest using this and can be a great product for bridal makeup. I would have preferred it was transparent as application would have been easier.

Rating: 4/5
