I feel that concealers are perhaps the most important part of our makeup routine. Concealers are multi-purpose products. They can be used for concealing the dark circles under your eyes, spot correcting our blemishes and scars and also for highlighting various areas of our face as desired. During the extreme hot and unbearable summers, applying makeup seems futile as its going to melt away anyway. If you have a concealer with decent coverage, you can even skip your foundation, conceal your flaws, set with powder and get going. Today I am going to be talking about one of the most raved about concealers, The Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (Phew! That was a mouthful)

Packaging : The concealer comes in a thick see through plastic tube with a silver cap. Very classy looking packaging. It has a wand with a soft sponge-tip two way applicator. It is very easy to apply concealer in the under eye area and to spot correct with this wand. It gives you the control to apply the right amount of the product in the desired areas. Overall the packaging is attractive, travel friendly and empirical in terms of application.

Shade : It has about 11 option shade wise. Covers and satisfies all skin tones. I chose Medium – Dark Warm for myself as it suited me perfectly, to conceal my under eyes and the areas around my nose and chin.

Texture & Finish : I prefer my concealers to be light-weight, blendable and natural looking. I also look for complete coverage with my concealers unlike that of my foundations. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer satisfies all my needs. It has a creamy consistency neither thick nor thin. It spreads and blends easily into the skin and sets fast to a matte finish. Though it sets matte, it doesn’t look flat. It has a satin finish which looks and feels natural. I use my ring finger to spread and blend this product and then buff it with a damp sponge. I also use it on my eyelids as I have pigmentation and visible veins there. It has a funky smell, but it is not prominent unless you sniff the tube.

Coverage : This concealer is full coverage. I just need 3-4 dots to cover all the darkness under my eyes and inner corners. I then set it with a light powder both under my eyes and on my lids. I love the fact that it gives me full coverage without feeling cakey or heavy. It is beautifully light-weight and natural looking.

Staying Power : It stayed on me for approximately 10 hours, I was especially surprised that it stayed on my eye lids too, which tend to get oily within a few hours. It stayed matte the complete time; it did not crease or cling to my fine lines. I did not have to blot it or re-apply it throughout the day. I think it will suit all skin types, but I do suggest that people with dry skin moisturise their under eyes properly before applying this one as it sets to matte finish.

Overall Thoughts

I love Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer for its light-weight texture, natural finish and full coverage. It is easy to apply and blend. It is my go to for the days I don’t want to wear full make-up, but want to conceal my problem areas. It is definitely going to be my side this summer.
