Unboxing & Review – My Envy Box November 2015

My Envy Box November 2015 (Rs 850 for a one month subscription)My Envy Box November – Unboxing & Review (2)

With the sheer number of beauty boxes increasing in India, the competition is heating up.  The major crib earlier was that the boxes don’t reach on time.  Now I think most of the boxes have got the delivery times in place.  I just got My Envy Box for November this morning.

Here’s what it contained

My Envy Box November – Unboxing & Review (3)

Dermaglow Instant Lip Gloss plumper – This is the only full sized item in the full box this time. It looks like it has a reddish brown tint from the outside however it is completely clear.  I do have a lot of lip glosses and I love pigmented shades but there is always place in my stash for a clear plumping gloss.  It takes a little bit of effort to apply as the consistency is pretty thick, but fortunately its not at all sticky.  Its gives a nice and full feeling though I can honestly never see the claimed plumping effect.  I like using a clear gloss under very dark shades since it gives a glow from within impact, so I am definitely going to find use for this. The MRP mentioned on the tube is Rs 2500 which I find rather high for this product.

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Makeup removing miceller solution for sensitive skin. There are 3 * 10ml plastic disposable vials.  This is great for me but I really find the packaging sad.  I don’t think anyone can use a 10ml make up remover at one go, so essentially when you open this you need to decant it into another empty bottle.

SP Luxe Oil 2*2ml vials. – Again vials, but fortunately stuff that with a stopper that can close effectively.  I find this size extremely small.  One would expect at least a deluxe sample for this. I find this a little disappointing.

Roberto Cavalli Paradiso EDP 1.2ml vial.  Another very small sample. Not much to say here, will be good for a couple of uses at max.My Envy Box November – Unboxing & Review (1)

Shopnimai bracelet.  A gold white and orange beaded bracelet with 3 strands.  I am not sure I will use this, but may give it away to someone.

So after last months’ box this one is rather drab.  The sizes are not great and neither is the packaging.  For any beauty box I would expect at least deluxe sample – what I do not appreciate is sachets and vials.

The clear gloss saves the box from being a complete dud for me – again this is not something I am keen on “discovering” so I wish they pull their socks up again next month.

Overall thoughts

My Envy box has shown a marked improvement in the last year however there are still a few hits and misses.  I think this month is going to be more of a miss for most people who have subscribed, also coming so close on the heels of a really great value box, this feels a little more disappointing.

Hi Shalini…I really liked your review as your thought echoes my thought about Nov’15 Envy Box. After a fantabulous Oct’15 box, I didnot expect the quality & quantity to fall such drastically in Nov’15. The packaging of Bioderma Sensibio H20 Makeup removing miceller solution is very unrealistic. Roberto Cavalli Paradiso EDP vial was present in one of their earlier boxes also. The bracelet is of no use for me. I got a Natio cream in place of your gloss & this is the only product that somehow saves the grace. Very disappointed with Nov’15 box indeed.
