Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette ($49/3038 INR)
I am sure all of us here have had our own share of doubts over a particular product that we have loved, but even tough doubt whether we should get it or not, for a month I kept debating myself, should I get Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette or I shouldn’t ,and then one of my friends told me, if you cant stop thinking about it , then just get it, and that’s what I did, and presenting to you my beloved SEMISWEET chocolate bar eyeshadow palette.
Shades: Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette consists of 16 gorgeous creamy eye shadow (some of them are so creamy they don’t even feel like powder shadows, like CARAMEL, you can see it has got I little dent, mistakenly, my finger nail dug into it L)
Licorice is a medium-dark black with subtle warm undertones and a matte finish. (fav.)
Coconut Creme is a light beige with warm, creamy yellow tones and a matte finish. (fav.)

Texture & Pigmentation – All the shades in Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette swatch and blend, really well, and are almost creamy ,two shades that I found to be a little stiff were pink sugar and blueberry swirl. I found they were not as creamy as the others, but the texture was equally soft. In the swatches I have done only a single swipe, without any base or primer, these shadows can be used wet, and the metallic shades pop even more when used wet, for the EOTD and the swatches I have used all of them dry. I could see that as pigmented the blueberry swirl looks in the pan, doesn’t really show up itself when swatched, also pink sugar, which shows pink in the pan, comes of as a iridescent pink-purple glitter with a transparent base when swatched, it’s a really nice top coat, to be lightly washed over a matte base eye shadow, or used with a wet brush on the centre of the lid, to add a little dimension.
Staying Power- The staying power of the shadows range from 7 to 8 hours without creasing, when I don’t use any base or primer, anyhow pink sugar lasts only up to 2-3 hours.
Packaging – The sixteen eye shadows are housed in a light, milk chocolate brown coloured tin box, that has a magnetic closure, which I am not a fan of, I like my palettes to close secure and tight, even tough its not that bad, but I feel scared to travel with. The name of the shades are inscribed just above the shadow pans, which makes it really convenient, it comes with an inbuilt mirror, which is really handy on the go, the eye shadows are made of real cocoa powder, which are antioxidant rich, and have a tempting chocolate smell to them.
Overall Thoughts –
For me Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette is a total win win , I love how the eyeshadows blend like a dream, the matte highlight shade, COCONUT CRÈME, is the most beautiful light ochre toned highlight for the brow bone, and at the same time butter pecan, is the perfect highlight, giving a subtle glow to the cheek bones, this palette is a big multi tasker, caramel is the most gorgeous creamy golden warm colour, to just given a clear wash on the lids, and it has awesome blending crease shades like peanut butter, mousse , truffled, nougat ,all in all it is a complete palette, you have lid shades, highlight shades, crease shades, a gorgeous matte black, you can live with it, and not need any other palette, it can complete looks, the shades have zero fallouts, also shades like mousse and pudding can be used to contour the cheek bones. A total must have J
