Packaging : Balmsai Palette comes in a sleek cardboard packaging, which is held together via a magnetic closure, the palette is really thin and sleek, it also has 2 shadow shields included in it, which adhere but not very well on your under eye, while you are doing your eyeshadow to shield skin from the fallouts from the shadow, it also comes with a mirror, and over all is a very handy palette, and a good to go on travel.

Pigmentation & texture: All the swatches that you see here are one single swipe, without any base or primer underneath. All the shades are pretty decent in pigmentation. Except one STOKED, it doesn’t really show up well when used dry or on a single swipe, rest all of them have spot on pigmentation, and really smooth in texture, the metallic shades, shoe up incredibly well on the lids, even the matte shades specially score, is butter soft, I have never come across a matte shade this soft ,all the matte shades in here are non patchy, and non powdery , they don’t crumble in the pan or fly away, except the one shade pipeline, that tends to crumble up in the pan, but always this issue doesn’t pop up if they are used wet.

Staying Power: By far I have created 5 eye looks with thebalm Balmsai Palette, combining metallic and matte shades, the matte shades have a longer wear time, but even the metallic shades went creaseless and non-fading for about 7 hours or a little more without any primer, after which I certainly noticed creasing. Lines and fading near the inner corner of the eye. Surely the metallic shades from the vice 3 palette are incomparable in terms of longevity, and this was something that I wouldn’t rate a perfect 10 in the balmsai palette.

Overall Thoughts

Balmsai Eyeshadow Palette has 18 silky smooth powder shadows that blend easily and with minimal fallout. Even when I work with the darkest shades, like matte black Righteous and matte brown Ripper, I barely have any cleaning up to do.

The deep matte tones also double as brow fillers and liners (points for awesome versatility), which makes this a totally legit palette to take on trips.

The only things I wish I could change about the balmsai palette are the highlighting colours. The beige and gold shades have a frosty finish and I am a matte highlight lover. I feel like one or two beige mattes would’ve taken the palette into the perfect  territory

nicely reviewed Aditi…good you are liking this. Its best to be used with a wet brush. However I feel UD and too faced are 100 times better than balmsai palette…I didn’t buy balmsai after reading mixed reviews about this. from your swatches- Most of the shades are a miss for me…I will skip this one…I am eyeing their new matte palette.
