I have a soft corner for Illuminators.I love, soft, glowy skin and this product seemed to deliver the much needed glow for summers.
About The Product
Features An innovative formula integrates swirls of a violet phase for brightening dull skin tone, a pink base to provide a radiant skin tone, and an essence to smoothen uneven skin surfaces and refine tone to further elegance adherence and sustaining power of subsequently applied makeup.
Shade: Face It BB cream looks very attractive. It has no particular shade as it has all the 3 bases swirled together. When swatched, it comes out as a violet-pearlescent lotion.
Packaging: Though, there is nothing fancy about the packaging as the body is plastic having a purple cap and a pump dispenser but the main steal is all the 3 bases swirled together. Even I was taken away by the look and had to buy this.
Texture & Formula: The Face Shop Face it Essence BB Base has a lovely texture which is easy to apply spread and blend. I love the fragrance. It is so refreshing and lovely. It doesn’t make my face greasy or oily and my pores do appear a bit smaller in appearance. The formula is great as it neither broke me out nor clogged my pores. It is light weight. I use it alone or under foundation and sometimes even mix it with the foundation.
Performance: The bb cream is more of a corrector. It perks up my complexion thanks to the purple (neutralizes with my yellow skin undertone) and pink (promote radiance) makeup base colour & their anti-oxidant essence to make my entire makeup looking fresh (not oxidised/ greyish/ dull) throughout the day! It provides a very soft focus to the face that looks really natural.
Staying Power: I have used this for 7-8 hours during summers and find that this stays for about 5-6 hours after which my face does look bit oily and I need a blotting paper to take away the oil. The dewiness also starts to lessen.
I wouldn’t call The Face Shop Face it Essence BB Base a must-have but it is a decent product. Those who do not prefer high voltage highlighters can definitely check this out. It does work on colour correcting part but the staying power is quite low.
