Body Shop comes up with amazing skin & body care products almost every other month. This time their Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Range was launched which is meant for mature age group i.e. 40+ . I gave it to my mom and after using for good 2 months this is what she has to say –

First thing first , the color of the packaging is gorgeous – a wine red . It looks expensive and luxurious for sure. The products in the range are Enriched with 3 root extracts: ginger from Madagascar, ginseng from China and ruscus from Europe and Community Trade soya oil from Brazil

The Body Shop Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Range has 3 products – Essence Lotion , Serum and Day Cream. There is no face cleanser like other ranges.

My mom uses Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Essence Lotion twice daily after cleaning her face. The toner has a mild soothing fragrance and the texture is water like. The first thing that skin faces while ageing is dryness. The essence lotion instantly replenishes and makes skin hydrated and plumped.

My mom has told me about the softness that she notices in her skin after using the essence. This is the second step in routine. The essence lotion is priced at Rs 1595 for 160 ml.

Now the next step is The Body Shop Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Serum. The serum comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser that also closes and prevents spillage while travelling. The serum itself is milky and slightly thick in texture. However it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy.

My mom uses it twice daily before her moisturiser. She applies a pump of it on her face & neck and makes sure to blend it upwards. The serum is priced at Rs 2595 for 30ml.

After using it for good 2 months she has definitely seen a significant improvement in skin’s texture which appears smoother than before.

Last and final step is The Body Shop Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Day Cream. The cream comes in a glass jar and has a thick consistency. The formula is dense but not sticky or greasy. She doesn’t like when creams make her face shiny and thankfully this day cream doesnt do that. She uses this cream twice daily and quite happy with the results.

The soothing fragrance is her what she loves the most about this range.  The cream is priced at Rs 1795 for 30 ml

After using The Body Shop Roots Of Strength Firming Shaping Range for more than 2 months she has definitely seen significant improvement in her skin’s texture and elasticity. Her skin looks much smoother and firmer than before.
