There are those moments of “impulsive buying” in every shopoholic’s life, which s/he regret later. In similar way I had made a purchase which is of no use to me now :/ The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Dome Pinch Me Pink – Rs 895 from Lily Cole Collection (LE)
Even while picking it I knew deep inside my heart that this is going to be too light for my complexion… still I picked it up because .. 1. packaging was extremely cute 2. It was Limited edition product. Upon comparing it with the other shade (peachy), I find it bit more wearable.
Texture of this is smooth, it blends easily. Biggest disappointment is Pigmentation it just refuses to show up !!!! See the swatches below, where I swiped it thrice and blended
On my lips it does show up a bit, but the texture is flaky and it definitely highlights dry & chapped lips more. On cheeks I swiped it multiple types till they started looking clown-ish pink, then blended and Woosh !! the blush disappeared !!!!
This one product has disappointed me the most.. as a matter of fact I didn’t find anything interesting in Lily Cole collection except shimmer bricks.
Pros
- Smooth buttery texture of the product
- Cute Packaging
- Not tested on animals
Cons
- Poor pigmentation
- Too expensive
- Have to be applied heavy handed to get natural flushed cheeks.
- Would not be of any use for medium to dusky skintones.
Overall Ratings
The Body Shop Lip and Cheek dome is going to be a blessing for girls with fair to wheatish complexion as its easy to use and gives just natural tint. However this is an absolute fail for me.
