Body lotions are my favourite skincare product and I keep on experimenting with different textures & formulas. During winters I need a heavy duty body moisturiser like The Body Shop Body Butters, but when the season is hot I need something lighter and non greasy. The Body Shop has launched Body Yogurt and I got a chance to try out 3 of the variants –
25 years ago The Body Shop revolutionized body moisturizing from a squirt to a scoop, introducing the first ever Body Butter. And now, here comes another game changing formula- one you can smooth on- and its set to completely transform the way you moisturize. The all new fast absorbing Body Yogurts takes just 15 seconds to absorb into your skin, giving a healthy looking glow.
Unlike body butters , body yogurt comes in beautiful deep tubs that are not as wide and a bit cylindrical. I love the packaging. These body yogurts are launched in 5 scents – British Rose, Moringa, Mango, Strawberry & Almond Milk. I have picked British Rose, Mango & Moringa and have been using them for over a month now.
Texture of the body yogurt is gel like, like its packed with water and very hydrating, which it indeed is. I prefer light weight moisturisers during summers as nobody like the stick greasy feel of heavy body butters or lotions when it is hot. You apply the body yogurt on and it sinks into the skin almost immediately. It doesn’t take more than 15 seconds. It is a better moisturiser than Body Sorbets.
I love how these smell, exactly like their names. British Rose scent need no introduction and is one of my favourite ranges of all time. Mango is both mine and my daughter’s favourite. Moringa has a strong floral fragrance, not my favourite.
All the three have similar texture and moisturising properties. I have dry skin with drier lower body. I have to apply a moisturiser on my legs everyday and sometimes even have to repeat it before going to bed. With body yogurts I do have to go for reapplication on the feet, which is the driest part of my body.
On rest of the body it works perfectly fine without the need of reapplication. I love the gel texture and would highly recommend if you are on a look out for a good moisturiser for summers.
You can buy The Body Shop Body Yogurt Moringa, Mango & British Rose ONLINE for Rs 845 (200ml) or from The Body Shop Stores.

Body yogurts sound interesting. Them seem to be in between body butters and body sorbets. Would love to try the mango one…
