Today’s review is about Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner. To me, a good conditioner is much more important than a good shampoo. There are plenty of options in affordable hair care range. Various brands come up with innovative products every now and then.
In this journey we have found new formulas like curl creams, leave-in conditioners, apply-and-remove conditioners. But, the need for a basic shampoo and conditioner still remains unchanged.
Hair care products in both budget and premium range are mainly targeted towards straight or slightly wavy hair types. Options for curly and wavy hair types are steep.
I, being a girl with relaxed hair, have a tough time to pick hair care products. Most of the time, I have to rely on multiple types of conditioners. I have to keep a deep conditioner for weekly nourishment, a regular conditioner for frequent use and a leave in serum or conditioner for after shower.
Recently I picked up Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner. Here’s my take on this conditioner.

This conditioner is manufactured using the Straight-Lock technology that gives you flawlessly straight hair after every wash. Co-created with Sunsilk expert Yuko Yamashita, Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner is the ideal conditioner to get straight, tangle-free hair.
Packaging: Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner comes in a purple plastic bottle with flip cap of same colour. The upside-down bottle does not need tremendous shaking and squeezing like regular conditioner bottles.
This is an annoying issue we face when the product reaches the bottom. The packaging is sleek and sturdy. You get the complete ingredients list at the back. I don’t like to travel with such a big bottle of conditioner. Thankfully, this has a travel size as well.
Colour & Consistency: The conditioner is white in colour. The product is thick and creamy in texture. This type of conditioner is best suited on dry and rough hair. It is also a great product to nourish heat-styled, damaged, permanently straightened hair.
Though it sells as ‘Perfect Straight’ conditioner, it shows great result on curly hair. It moisturizes the inherently rough curls and helps in curl definition.
Fragrance: This conditioner has floral fragrance. The added fragrance keeps away sweaty odour for a day and makes my hair smell good. The fragrance is not overpowering. It doesn’t irritate me.
Quantity & Price: The 180ml pack of Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner comes at Rs.140. This is one of the affordable yet effective conditioners in the budget range. It is widely available across the country via online and offline shops.
You can even buy small sachets of this for Rs.5. Sunsilk often runs awesome discount deals on this conditioner. You can save 10-15% on this.
My Overall Thoughts
I am a sucker for nourishing conditioners. I have sticky dandruff so I need to wash my hair frequently. My wavy hair is already so dry. It becomes very rough and frizzy with those strong medicated anti-dandruff formulas.
This conditioner has helped a lot to prevent, manage and nourish my unruly locks. This conditioner is a silicone based one. Naturally, it provides a soft and smooth feel after every use. This effect lasts 2-3 days and then I wash my hair. I have also used silicone free conditioners.
Just like this Sunsilk conditioner, those ones were effective for exactly 2 days in my case. The Perfect Straight Shampoo-Conditioner range is here in the market for quite some years now. I have used them on and off. This is my third or fourth repurchase.
If have tried plenty of conditioner from the affordable range. To my unmanageable frizzy hair with curls, this Sunsilk Perfect Straight Conditioner has shown great results.
