For a flawless air-brushed makeup we all need some kind of magical makeup product. Sometimes it can be our good-old translucent setting powder. I have been using loose setting powders since ages and love how it makes the area smoother and almost “photoshopped” . Sugar Cosmetics has recently launched “All Set To Go Translucent Powder” and it is available for purchase now. I got a chance to test it out and sharing my experience with all of you –
The fastest route to looking picture-perfect around the clock – say hello to the all-new SUGAR All Set To Go Translucent Powder! Crafted to lock in the base and mask the shine, this lightweight mattifying powder keeps you looking stunningly fresh throughout the day. The translucent powder settles on to the skin effortlessly to blur out imperfections while simultaneously enhancing your complexion. Just pat it on, dust it off and stay flawless for the next 8+ hours!
Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder comes in a square jar with a flip top cap. The jar has a mirror and applicator / sponge inside. The jar is quite small as compared to rest of the loose setting powders i have like Lakme Loose Setting Powder & Colorbar Airbrush Finish Loose Setting Powder. You get 7g of powder for Rs 599.
Now use and success of translucent powder on brown/ tanned/indian skin is debatable and very few brands have successfully formulated powders that don’t look white or cause flashback.
Formula & Texture – The Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder has a smooth texture, though it isn’t super smooth “blend into the skin” texture . It doesn’t feel powdery or gritty under the eyes. I generally use loose powders under the eyes to set the concealer so that it doesn’t crease in wrinkles and fine lines.
Brand claims it to be mattifying which is good for warmer months but in winters or whenever my skin is feeling dry I can’t really use this powder as it sucks the moisture or oils out of the area. If you have dry skin I would suggest you to apply it for less that 2 minutes and then get rid off excess. The longer you bake the drier under eye area gets.
The Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder doesn’t look extra white under the eyes and blends into the skin. It gives the illusion of smoother softer skin in photographs.

It sounds good for my oily skin 😍

For me personally, I’ve learned the best way to wear make-up without looking like I have on make-up, is using a translucent powder. My co-workers think my skin is flawless. If they only knew the truth. lol. I start with my translucent and follow up with a tinted pressed powder to deepen the tone a bit.
