Couple of months ago Westside launched its exclusive makeup line by the name of Studiowest in Mumbai. The range is yet not present in all the cities yet and I had to ask my dear friend to send couple of products across from Mumbai. I saw the swatches online and picked these two blushes – Studiowest Plum Shine & Dusty Rose Blush . I am quite pleased with what I picked.

Packaging is simple, plastic case with clear lid, with range name written on the lid. There are two collections/ range within the makeup line – Maaya & Pure Passion and I picked one from each.

Shades – In the pan both the shades look more of less the same, however its when you swatch them , the difference is really visible. Studiowest Maaya Plum Shine Blush is a beautiful Plum with gold shimmer. Pure Passion Dusty Rose blush is a pink with golden shimmer. Initially I thought that Dusty Rose is quite similar to Lakme Peach Affair Blush , though Dusty Rose is a pink & Peach affair is a peach toned blush with similar finish.
Texture & Formula – I am so impressed with the formula of both the blushes. Studiowest Dusty Rose has visible golden sheen, but when applied the shimmers work as a subtle highlighter. Its a beautiful color indeed and perfect for evening parties & weddings. Plum Shine is my favorite because the blush has less shimmer and the color shows up much better on me. Its a beautiful everyday color and compliments my skintone. Both the shades would look absolutely gorgeous on medium complexions.
None of them have powdery texture , both of the blushes apply & blend smoothly.

Pigmentation – Both the blushes are nicely pigmented, though the color is quite subtle. I have to layer them up to show on my skin.
Staying Power – Studiowest Plum Shine & Dusty Rose stays on fod good 5-7 hours on me. None of the shades turn patchy or uneven.

Overall Thoughts
I am quite impressed with the texture & formula of Studiowest Blushes. Plum Shine is my favorite since it looks natural on me, the shimmer doesn’t show up that much after the application. Dusty Rose is another pretty shade , more suitable for night / evening parties because of the strong golden sheen. I would love to pick more shades once this collection launched in Delhi stores.
